Registered 4 years agoWow. This thread is crazy! It's been quite funny to read while at work, but I hope it all calms down when the Wii U forum goes up!
I'm really not surprised by Ninja Gaiden 3. From the sounds of it, a quick fix up wasn't going to solve anything. It should have been left for dead and something else should have been developed in it's place. That, and as many here have already said, a 7.6 from IGN really doesn't mean much. It it were Eurogamer, we'd probably be looking at a 5.
As for ZombiU, i'm still looking forward to it. Good reviews or not, i'm interested in the direction they're taking the zombie genre. Left 4 Dead is great for co-op and action. Dead Rising is great for pissing about, though it does get old quite fast. I'm hoping having a genuine survival theme for ZombiU will it stand out against those two, even if the execution falls a little flat.3DS: 4210 4002 8289 (Dave)

Zombie game, once the great white hope, now suggested to be average.
Ninja Gaiden 3, which was lacklustre nine months ago when it came out, but looks shinier.
NSMB, heavy sarcasm on the 'new', but these are always fun. Hardly a technical showcase though.

Tell you what though, XCOM would work brilliantly on the WiiU, could actually shout about being the best version (as clearly the gamepad would be an excellent upgrade to the main game), and would provide a massive boost to sales. But noooo, instead they bang on about uninterrupted gaming because your gf rocks up and wants to watch X Factor. WiiU: enabling disfunctional relationships since 2012.LB, you really are a massive geek.

Registered 9 years agoAC3 on the other consoles is really pushing the envelope and has performance slowdowns when there are many characters on screen and during the naval scenes. I'd be VERY interested to see if it runs better on the Wii U. Should be theoretically possible due to more RAM and better GPU if they have optimised it properly for the hardware. -

Definitely buggy, but it's made with affection for the original and is a huge, highly rewarding, sophisticated and deep game.

Actually, seeing this multi-player component for ZombiU has sparked my interest for the first time since they announced it. A mode where one person is playing a survival FPS (domination, CTF or what have you), and the other is plotting his downfall playing an RTS.
