Nintendo Land is pretty guff - I enjoyed the Luigi game with a few friends, though.
@CharlieStCloud I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with that. There is a size limit on drives but that one is fine. Your only real issue is that appears to be powered over USB, so you'll need y splitter USB cable so you can plug the drive into two of the Wii U's ports.
Argos are selling black Wiimote Plus's for £18. Get 'em while you can!

Honestly don't buy it if you have nobody to play it with. The solo stuff is pretty dull and the multiplayer stuff is great with friends but worthless alone.
Has anyone got any experience of third party nunchucks that are available on ebay and the like?
I managed to grab an official motion plus controller from argos for £18 yesterday but I'l be fucked if I'm paying another £18 for the nunchuck!
£2.65 on ebay inc. postage.
@PrivateFloyd Hi Pinky, I mean Private. They probably work fine but the quality of the Ninty ones are excellent. My advice is to buy one cheap from cex or ebay and stick with the official ones to ensure no issues.
Yeah, even if it's second hand, i'd stick with official ones. I had a 3rd party nun-chuck a few years back and it lasted a few months at most. It no longer responds to waggle and the thumb stick has disintegrated.
I know they generally cost more but very rarely do you find third party controllers that best first party ones. (unless you are buying something from Razer or suchlike)
Ended up just reserving one at Argos for £18.
Can't believe I have spent £36 to play Pikmin 3 which cost me £20.
Stupidly put off buying two extra Mario Kart 8 club nintendo codes on eBay over the weekend, and now the guy selling them for £10.95 has run out!
Anyone got any spare they'd let go? Need to pick up Pikmin!

Are you able to do that? I read on the T&C that they would ban users from the eshop and rescind both of their free game codes, or something to that extent?
It's a work around of sorts, where you create new Nintendo IDs and claim the game through that, then use the download code on your own console. No different than buying a download code from eBay I guess?
But still, now comes the fear of redeeming my second code.
@PrivateFloyd I've yet to try the touch screen controls for Pikmin 3, but apparently they work rather well. Personally, I wouldn't consider it simply an investment for Pikmin 3 alone. You could potentially uae it for Nintendo Land, Monster Hunter, Call of Duty, or any number of Wii games, such as Metroid Prime!
So far I've redeemed three codes without issue. I'm sure the guy will get more codes. He'd be foolish not to. He must be making a mint!
He sold over 100 codes at 11 quid a pop plus he's no doubt getting a decent trade in or ebaying off the game it's self.
I can't try the touchscreen as I'm a leftie. Ninty didn't think to offer the option. I tried playing with gamepad alone and found it unwieldy to say the least.
I'm not fussed, I love pikmin so I imagine Il get my moneys worth!
Fair enough. I can't believe Nintendo didn't accommodate for lefties. The controller is practically symmetrical. Quite an over sight.
Meanwhile over on the Japanese Club Nintendo site....
I'm a grown man but I still want this.

... the Japanese Club Nintendo is a billion times better than the tacky nonsense we get although saying that, I managed to nab the Luigi's Mansion 2 diorama that I sold on eBay for £100 and a green 3DS XL charging cradle, which has been very useful and goes really well with my 'the Year of Luigi' 3DS XL.
And BOO! to those of you who have nary a good word to say about Nintendo Land.
It is a great game, whether you're on your lonesome or not!

@Ceelion Nintendo Land is a steaming pile of shit.
It was a party-game atmosphere though, I bet playing solo is plops.
The Metroid mini-game was a bit shite, but the mario chase 'attraction' and luigi's mansion stuff was excellent.
I enjoyed Metroid Blast. It reminds me of rocket arena from Unreal Tournament. That and the nun-chuck controls are awesome.
Eshop game xtype plus looks not bad. You can try it here:
Out this Thursday for 2.69. Online leaderboards could be fun.

And another Pop n Twinbee SNES virtual arcade shooter next Thursday, this time the follow up to the first one we got couple of weeks ago, a sequel of sorts because this one won't have you turning your Tele on its side, this one already sidescrolls on its own: it's a sidescrolling shootmup in the Pop n Twinbee universe.
Next stop: Parodius??
I'll be picking up that. Looks awesome. I'm really getting into these space shooters now. I really want the NES Twinbee on the VC. I love that one.
Splinter Cell Blackmamba was in CEX for £8 so I got it. HOT.
I'm playing through Splinter cell at the minute, it's good. Much more like the earlier ones than conviction.

Financial figure s are in
MK8 did amazingly well but it's grim reading apart from that, 3DS has basically died.
Less focus on the 3DS, so it's to be expected I guess.
No suprise for the Wii u.
