Been a bit busy, but I've almost completed Sonic Lost Worlds. Overall, I think it's a decent game. Some of the level design is a bit clunky and you'll hit a snag every now and then, but it's not frustrating. The mix of using the ZR in controlled bursts works pretty well with the levels mind. I think some of the review scores have been a bit harsh.

Try the demos. Both are on the eshop. Just remember not to hold down the sprint button all the time on sonic. You'll use it a lot, but constantly holding it down will get you killed easily.

Indeed, those surveys are hard work, it's like they don't know what they're doing!

    @CompetitiveDad no Paypal. In supermarkets
over here in Netherlands, they have the scratch
cards (15/25euro), supermarket is open till 22:00,
    maybe you have them too.

Otherwise I would suggest looking for the
same websites that do the xbox live/points email
    thing, they usually accept PayPal.
I think cdkey website even does game codes

Also good old 'Game' does game codes and points. Is normally the same price as Nintendo but when you add on the Game loyalty points, the Nintendo premium and Quidco actually is ok to go digital.

Finished Sonic Lost World now. The last 2 zones see the difficulty ramped up by the platforming. Not fun.

Other then that, fairly decent game. Just need to decide what to buy next :)

Tempted by Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.

Never played One Piece before, any good? Lego is on the list, but I'm in the mood for something else at the moment.

Lies!Whenever you can a get a group going for some GP action the game is massively enjoyable, regardless of how long you've been playing it.

Same here. It's not a game I want to play on my PC at all but it's perfect for the Wii U, especially if it can also be played on the Gamepad screen. It's ridiculous that we're still waiting for it when it has been released elsewhere. I sometimes hate being part of a non-English speaking union and all the waiting that is involved while a game is being translated into French, German, Italian and all the other languages I would never play the game in anyway.

Why don't they just release the US version here in the UK and have the rest of Europe wait for the translation? I'm less bothered about differences in spellings than I am not having the game at all.

P.S. I've been enjoying some old GameCube games via the joys of the Dolphin emulator (don't worry folks I still own my 'Cube and the games I'm playing on disc). Got me thinking about when we're going to see a Mario Tennis/Baseball/Striker/Golf game on the Wii U. I'm surprised one of them hasn't been released already.

lol, I'm not a defender of Nintendo even now. They make some good stuff that I'm interested in, but others I think get through on name and the soft spot reviewers have for them.

That's probably quite a fair assessment of what happens I guess. I'm just charmed by Nintendo's ability when they get it right and I often overlook when they get it wrong. For whatever reason I'm far more able to overlook Nintendo's problems with the Wii U than the Wii. (The Wii turned me off for a whole generation)

They of course have their faults and yes, they need to address them but I just can't find it in myself to criticise them when Microsoft and Sony are doing NOTHING to tempt me to a more powerful console.

Get sonic racing instead.  Mario is good but sonic is much better and a quartet of the price.

@Adv I know nothing about One Piece, looks
beautiful and crazy and fun, Miiverse people
seem to enjoy it. It even has 2 hot bikini babes
    in it.

it is an adventure game, with hack slash fighting
and beehunting and fishing and other pirate stuff.
Looks like a cartoon, nice colours and FX,
    summerholidaytrip.

Was hoping EG would review it (same game
also out for Vita and PS3).

Both are good, but I would have to agree SASRT is alot of fun. The tracks, music, controls and characters are superb. The weapons feel balanced and the drifting mechanic is far more satisfying. It also has a much deeper campaign mode.

I'm not sure why, but I don't feel any sense of speed in MK8. Feels really slow.

I loved Sonic racing when I had a vita but on a bigger screen I couldn't get along with it.

Had it whilst my 360 lived and tried the demo on the U but just didn't seem as good for me.
