I'd love a 1080, Wave Race or FZero. Any Nintendo racing game really.

Been caning Mario Kart 7 recently, I'm hoping the Wii U iteration will scratch my itch.

Bit faster, sans Blue shells please.

That does actually look lush. I'm actually really looking forward to playing it.

That's if I'm not still obsessed with GTA5

The games for the next few months look at least as good enough to tide me over if the Xbox 1 launch games underwhelm.

I was awesome at the original 1080 Snowboarding. Avalanche was dumbed down quite a bit. You had to get your landing just *so* in 1080 or you tumbled. The final course was just great. Such a good game.

For Wave Race, they could always go indie. Vector Unit do a pretty good water racing game for Android and iOS called Riptide (and it has a sequel I think). Give them some cash and they could do a reasonable Wave Race for the eShop. They have that option for any IP they own.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

Never played Avalanche or the GC WaveRace.

1080 was absolute class. Nothing I've played has come close to nailing that feel since.

Might download it off the Wii shop at some point.

They need to hurry up with N64/GC Wii U VC.

Makes you wonder why they don't just source them out to 3rd party company. Probably not F Zero, but 1080, Waverace or even Star fox. At worse they create a stinker and the franchise goes unused for another 10 year's. At best they could have reinvented an old franchise and have yet another 2nd party dev they could buy out.
It is something they have done with the 3DS, Luigi Mansion 2 i think was out sourced. Which was fantastically well received, and probably in my top 3 games of the year thus far. I hope it is something they have considered.

Its hard to know what nintendo are up to, They do keep their cards pretty close to their chest, and they only really like to talk about games coming out in the very near future.

I think other than X, and Mario Kart , only Yoshi Epic Yarn as been announced. Oh and Bayonetta. I guess there be a direct in late January next year for next years stuff.

The thing is, when they outsource something, they keep a very close eye on things and will happily scrap months of work unless they're entirely happy with it. They won't start handing things out to anybody.

@JiveHound Avalanche had the gimmick of erm..... avalanches. Fun for a bit but some of the purity was lost. 1080 is the only snowboarding game I ever liked and I tried most of them.

@GameOverYeah Amusement Vision did the last F Zero and what a brilliant job they did.

Nintendo really should outsource more, as the guys said previously, they tend to take a huge interest in development ensuring things stay in track.

Who knows whats going on behind closed doors? Im sure these sorts of discussions are taking place. They either pull out the big guns and make a genuine stab at competing or they simply let the console slowly fade into obscurity.

Hope its not the latter but those japs, they crazy, man!

Why not F-Zero? They farmed F-Zero GX out to Sega, and AV made the best futuristic racer ever.

I never got to play GC FZero either. Man, I really sold my Gamecube far too early.

I think Capcom should act as a cautionary tale when looking at outsourcing. Keep your friends close and your developers closer.

I'd love someone to do a snowboarding version of Skate. Something with a bit more realism and punishment. So much more satisfying to get good at those games.

Thinking of getting Batman Origins on WiiU just to turn it on. Gamespot are doing it for 5.97 when you send a couple games in but I wondered if the WiiU version would face delays or just end up being a half-arsed version. Not the best thing to be considering for a console.

For what it's worth, Arkham City is pretty good, and the Wii U stuff all makes sense and has a positive effect on the game. Origins is by the same team, so we know they'll probably do well enough.

No multiplayer though, should that matter to you. I'd certainly have given it a go, so it's a shame, but there'd be a lot of time spent not being Batman ;)

Multiplayer would be something I wouldn't even try, so no loss there... If I have a couple from the trade list I may do it for the sake of 6.

Starfox has been outsourced for years, and its been pap.

Is anyone else getting a bit bored with remastered games? Read my thoughts!

Still annoyed about the price, but sweet baby jesus I can't wait for this. And then I think, why am I annoyed about the price if I'm looking forward to this more than any other new game on any other platform?

Was this the one I paid 10 for some cable to link up a Gameboy of some description to the GameCube, that I don't think I ever took out the packet? I'm still annoyed about that :)

Kingdom Hearts is selling for 23, i guess 25 Would be the fairest price. Saying that most HD remasters include 3 games. I think most places are doing it for around 34, But it does seem a step up as an hd remake than most though.

Apparently Nintend also had Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess running in HD, before deciding on releasing Wind Waker HD. They thought Wind Waker looked the most impressive of the 3.

Anyone got Sonic All Stars Transformed? I have it on the PC and it's brilliant (60fps!).

I fancy picking it up for the wii u as it's cheap, 15 pre-owned on grainger games or thereabouts for fun with the kids, but be good to have a few games with you chaps too if anyone has it or fancies it.

They would all have their merits for a remake, but I would personally be most attracted to remake of Twilight Princess. That game's visuals were ruined by being so muddy that they distracted from some pretty awesome artwork (especially in the twilight realm). Add some colour and do a similar job to the work Grezzo did with Ocarina and it'd be a surefire sale from me, especially if I had the chance to play it with 'traditional' controls (ie. the Gamecube version's).

The 'muddiness' of Twilight Princess's visuals is what probably put it on the backburner. Updating all the graphics is more work than they'd like to do versus Wind Waker which has clean looking visuals that lend them themselves to upscaling to start with.

Plus, once you start fixing one thing suddenly lots of other things stick out like a sore thumb, so the muddy textures are gone... But what about all these villagers afflicted with mong face?

Wind Waker was the better received game overall too.

TP was the first Zelda to really bore me.

Just no. Wave Race 64 is the best water racer ever by some margin. It would have to be done in house. Even Wave Race Blue Storm doesn't come close.

@Pinky_Floyd I have it. I'm not the most reliable person to organise online sessions with, but let me know if you pick it up! I abaondoned it a while back, simply because it got too hard, but I couldn't keep away for too long.
