    From one of the devs:

"That build is around 2.5 months old. It's the same build that was shown at Gamescom and PAX.

Much has happened since. Physics and graphics have been improved and track riding lines and background have been tuned to perfection. If I remember correctly, that old build still had problems with bike front wheel colliding with the front fender (and causing it to stop spinning). The physics was also a little bit too stiff in that build (it feels more relaxed now). Of course we are still tuning the physics. In Trials HD we tuned physics until the last weeks of the project. So I wouldn't draw any definite conclusions about the game physics until the final version hits the store.

Out of the Pit was the first extreme test track we had in the game. At start of the project bike had so tricky physics and the stones had so low friction that the track was almost impossible to pass. The track was used extensively to tune the physics to be better and better. Now the track is one of the easiest extreme tracks. If you want something more challenging, try Way of the Ninja instead."

I'm happy to wait until early next year. Gives me plenty of time to play other stuff before this takes over!

As long as the game comes out and works as it should I'll happily wait until next year.

Would have been awesome for a October 28th release though, init Mr Ironlungs, sir :)

We can now officially confirm that Trials Evolution will be playable at the MCM Expo London Comic Con.

Available in the Games Expo portion of the conference, the game will be playable along with other games from Nintendo, Capcom, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and other top developers. It will be the same build seen at PAX and New York Comic Con.

The MCM Expo takes place on 28-30 October, and is being held at the Excel Estate in the eastern London docklands. More information on the venue, including ticket prices and other exhibition information can be found on the MCM Website, here.
Anyone going to this? I nominate Lexx to go have a looksee! He'll be right at home on the docks...

So it has been confirmed that Trials evolution did not release in 2011, and will release in 2012.

Thanks Red Lynx for that comprehensive information.

It's not like they need the marketing power of that to sell it though. Hmm/

I was just about to go get a clean pair of underwear ready for when I see a release date in this thread bump. Was actually half unzipped before the page loaded.
Now I just feel silly and dirty. Excitment levels are rising a bit to much waiting for this sodding game.

Let's be honest, it's the sort of thing Microsoft would do.

But then again, no one would buy any of the other 4 SOA games.

Are they 'super busy' because they're releasing a PS3 version at the same time now? I hope I haven't had to wait for more delicious Trials because of that, as if so I will be shaking my fist in the general direction of Finland!

Great for PS3 only owners if so, not so great that I didn't have this at Christmas though, bumbeclarts.

    I need this game.

The Ubisoft takeover could have given them the resources to do that however, so it is possible.
