Hehe! I'm very excited. Have finished with Ghost Rexon so hoping Game might have some trade in deal going for this.

29.99 on Amazon. Game will probably come in at 39.99 with about 12 quid for GR. I'd keep GR if I were you dude.

Does anyone know if the costume DLC available for this is a limited time thing? I can't but it for a while, but if that means Im missing out on some stuff I'd rather trade some stuff in to get it on release.

Its going to repeat itself once so you have time.
34 days starting the 20th then one day of nothing, then the next 34 days it will do it all again.

I put my preorder in with shopto today, hopefully it will get here on time for friday as I have the day off.

Yeah you're probably right I think. That's a great price on Amazon...

SpotPass! I love SpotPass now I've got a game that uses it (Samurai Warriors). You stick your 3DS on to charge and wake up in the morning with that lovely blue light on the front blinking away, telling you that a game you own has new stuff. Go to bed, get up and that game has grown more content!

So it'll be the same, SpotPass will push the free stuff straight to your 3DS once you've been in the game and switched it on. No hassle or fuss :)

So just the wireless on. No contact with other 3DS owners?

Oh man. I hope my game coming a couple of days after release won't deny me any saucy costumes.

Like roz says, they're repeating them so it looks like as long as you get it within about a month you're fine.

SpotPass is when you get stuff pushed to your 3DS from the Internet, so just make sure you're linked to the Internet and it'll get the free stuff automatically. No other users required, that's StreetPass. It's a shame there hasn't been more from SpotPass yet.

The reviews all seem quite positive so far
    http://www.push-start.co.uk/reviews/review-dead-or-alive-dimensions
    http://3ds.nintendolife.com/reviews/2011/05/dead_or_alive_dimensions_3ds
But we haven't had many yet from big sites/magazines.
Opinions seem mixed on how well the story is presented and how well the online runs.
There is also not so much boobage compared to other games in the series (I probably prefer it this way).
overall there is lots of content, it looks great and is fun to play.

It sitll has the classic arcade mode. Story mode is a new one with added tutorials and cut scene heavy. It's fine as an addition in my opinion.

From what I have seen on youtube the story mode looks quite funny if you dont take it serious. At the end of the day its a fighting game so I am not expecting much.

The spotpass stuff started in japan and you can fight the games interpretation of one of the developers each week.

Not a bad score from one of the more critical mags. (Better then mortal kombats 6)

What's the 3D like when you're playing the game roz? Worth having it on in your opinion or leaving it off for faster framez?

Also, it looks pretty sweet graphics wise in videos, you agree?

I think what Cosmic is politely trying to say there is, what are the norks like in 3D?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

I've played it, and I'm not sure if it was just my imagination but I'd swear the boobs stick out more than anything else on screen.

Absolutely stunning game too, somewhere between the Dreamcast & 360 iterations. I love 3D, but I found when hammering some of the more complicated combos the 3D was just distracting rather than immersive. That was only from a quick go though, it's certainly stunning either way, but I think more hardcore players will go for 2D 60fps.

Do tell us what you think though roz, as soon as you've had a go again. I'd quite like to hear what you think, especially in regards to thinks like game modes.

The graphics are really nice in 2D and 3D but at the end of the day it is a handheld game so it is limited.
I am not sure but I think with 3D it runs smooth when you are fighting but the framerate does drop during the close ups before and after the match. I really didnt have much time to judge it properly but I will probably stick with 3D

DLC was clarified on the front page now, looks like from 27th onwards there'll be stuff, and if you miss it it's gone. Looks like a bunch of trade ins tomorrow :)

According to that andriassang article from earlier, the first download fight (which gives you Kasumi) is from whenever the game gets released until the 25th (i.e. next Wednesday). I hope my copy turns up before then.

Edit: Of course, that's for Japan and it may well be different elsewhere. I probably should have read the front page article before posting.
