Not long to wait now - they'll start sending them out in October. Really! ;)

The end of October, at that! They don't do anything quickly!

I'm slightly worried now though - I put my details in, hit submit... and nothing happened. So I hit submit again, and instead of showing me a confirmation screen, it took me to the Stars catalogue. Did anyone get confirmation of their details? I should probably try it again...

They sent me an email confirmation (just the general one they send when you order anything from their catalogue).

I arrived at a conformation page and received the email. If you log into Club Nintendo and go to your account, it should be there under "My Treasures".

EDIT: up to 8 weeks? What they doing, walking the coins over from whichever south east Asian country is manufacturing them?

    END of October?

Wii U will only be a couple of weeks away then.

    /facepalm

Hmm, no email. I'll log in and check the 'My Treasures' section first, but it looks like I'll have to re-do it. Thanks for the heads-up chaps.

EDIT - Ah, there we go, it seems to have worked this time :) I also noticed I had a download link for the Xenoblade soundtrack under 'My Treasures' - I had no idea that was there! It says available until 30/09/2011, but it seems to be allowing me to download it...

'We are very pleased to announce that deliveries of the Club Nintendo RPG Commemorative Coin Collection will begin much earlier than originally stated! You can now expect to receive your order within the next month and not from the end of October as previously described.'

I'd actually completely forgotten about them.

Really funny - I decided (well actually I was being forced by my kids when they found out) to "cash-in" some of my stars, spent half an hours entering the codes of 3 years worth of Nintendo games (Wii, DS and 3DS, GC was no longer accepted :().

Anyway, bought some points that my oldest could use for his DS (lousy exchange rate, but whatever) and my youngest wanted a set of cardboard "binders". Ordered them and he's like "do I get them tomorrow?". "Well", I said, "it'll probably next week". The next day we get the confirmation email saying we can expect it in about 8 friggin weeks!. Seriously Nintendo? How hard can it be?

Things from Club Nintendo tend to arrive as nice surprises purely because of how long they take to come. :p

Oh, it will definitely be a surprise for him. I think he has already forgotten we ordered it :)

Nope. It's a "bung in a jiffy bag and send Second Class" job. Not that I'm complaining since I'm now the proud owner of a rather spiffing (and free) coin collection and sexy display case.

I had three bits of circular plastic rattling around in the case. Presumably they were supposed to keep the coins in place but, well, mission failed.

Okay, thanks. I found a card when I got back today saying I need to collect a signed for packet from the depot so I was wondering if it might be that. Guess mine are still on the way and I have a mysterious packet waiting for me. :p

Er, sorry just checked the packaging and it was sent Recorded. I didn't sign for it personally and obviously paid no attention to the envelope in my eagerness to pilfer the goodies within :p

I know this is a Wii thread, but I have a Club Nintendo 3DS-related question: is there any way to register my 3DS other than with the scratch card code thing?

I've had the console since launch but never bothered to register it, and I fear I may have chucked out the box (something I don't tend to do). Having just got Bravely Default yesterday, I was planning to register the 3DS and grab SM3DL for free.

I'm guessing there's no other way to register it?

Pretty sure there's not, unfortunately. I registered my UK when I got it so I can't even offer you one. :(

I found it! Apparently I had at some point thrown the box away and kept all the materials in a drawer. The console code worked, and I'm now registering BD, so hopefully free Mario will be mine!

EDIT Woohoo, free Mario downloading :D

That sucks :( Any chance to fit in a bit of handheld gaming during that time? :p
  • Deleted user 8 December 2013 09:43:50
I'd not dare take my 3DS with me. Not where I work. I do give myself half hour after work to unwind, though. It's not all bad.

I know Im necroing a dead thread but Nintendo are kernts and it needs to be revived.

Entered the codes for 3 Nintendo DSi a couple of years back. It STILL wasnt enough points to get a decent game. Numerous game purchases later... still not enough.

Finally we bought a Wii. I was excited. Finally, I'd have enough points to get a fookin game.

    Points = 0

    WWWWW TTTTT FFFFFFFFFFAAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKK

Edit : Dec '13? Not as dead as I thought :D Looks like they really are kernts.
