I know generally people ask advice for more expensive and higher tech equipment, and this question isn't going to utalise the autistic level of nerdyness which exists on internet forums, but still, I can't bring my self to walk in to jessops and buy any old camera. I would like it to be half decent at least. |
Can anyone recommend a highly portable camera for under £100?
You can't go too far wrong with a Lumix or Canon these days. In fact in your shoes I'd be checking out the Lumix range-check Amazon and avoid Jessops.
How about this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Lumix-FS11-Digital-Camera/dp/B0031MA176/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1303737941&sr=1-2
This is the camera I'm warming towards. Good reviews and it's cheaper. And the cheapness is important. I will need a memory stick with that budget also. Thanks though.
Or is there a good reason not to get this camera?
I have a soft spot for Kodak and it looks ok. For memory cards make sure it's a decent brand from a proper retailer. I swear by Sandisk but I'd never buy a card from eBay as there's so many fakes on there.
I'm also looking for a good camera for around £100, please help?

Well, is it a photo or a video cam you're after?
