Also on All4 I assume, if you're a skinflint pikey like me.

    Tin Star

I'm still not sure whether I actually enjoyed it. There's a very weird vibe to the series and it doesn't pull off that oddball small town vibe that Fargo does. There's still a lot to like but I found myself flitting between liking it and not through every episode.

A weird one that I say is still worth watching, if only I can get a differing opinion on it.

A big fan of MB and Toast, I did think series 3 was pretty weak though, sadly.

    Peaky Blinders Season 3

Brilliant again, covers more ground and packs more plot and character development in 6 hours than a lot of similar shows struggle to in 20+.

Acted perfectly, ooks perfect, sounds perfect, music is perfect.

Only slight drawback this season was needing a whiteboard on hand to keep track of all the double dealing and backstabbing.

    9.5/10

    Parks and Rec S2 - 8/10
    Parks and Rec S3 - 10/10
    Parks and Rec S4 - 10/10

The show gets better and better the more Jean Ralphio appears in it.

    Sinner - 9/10

Brilliant series. Jessica Biel puts in a great performance and Bill Pullman is wonderful.

It gets really, REALLY dark though. The penultimate episode is one of the most uncomfoetable bits of tv I think I've ever seen.

    Stranger things 2 8.5/10

Really enjoyed it , though one episode didn't really work for me and Mike was a bit too much of a drip at times. Thought Steve was great and Billy, Max, Stalker, Samwise and Hopper were all good.

    Only another 18 months...

@GuybrushThreepwood Just finished watching it! Totally super-rad! I'd rate it 8.7/10

Hopper suddenly became my favorite when he started throwing punches in the first season, and then the scene in first season where they put Hop to sleep, I was like "Oh, no why'd he have to die?" and when I started the next episode and watched Hop I felt super relaxed to see him. :D

Stranger Things 2 -8.5/10 Started off a bit weak and derivative in my view, but found its own identity by ep5 and really developed the characters in interesting ways. The final episode brought a few tears. Damn I'm such a sop!

    Stranger Things 2

I'm almost the polar opposite to the previous post. I wish ep07 (the lost boys one) wasn't in the series at all. Nearly ruined it for me and that sour aftertaste lingered in the final two episodes.

Other than that I think it was a really impressive sequel to the stellar first season. It can't touch it obviously but no one thought it would. It manages to pull off the tricky secnd season with some real panache though.

I would like to see more of the gang being the gang in season three though. And I still think they should have stuck to the anthology concept.

    A must see

    The Leftovers - Season 3

I don't really know what to say - think I need to let it settle in a little.

    10/10

@Rhaegyr I've heard some people describe this as one of the greatest TV series ever made. Damon Lindelof being attached makes me a little sceptical, but it's on my list.

Just watching first ep of Riverdale s2.

So s1. Stupidly good looking people being melodramatic and teen dramaz. I.e. 10/10 would watch cheerleaders dance again.

But seriously, would prefer some more Twin Peaks to it.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dad of Light

Such an odd show. Its basically an infomercial for FF14 but also an ultra mild comedy drama in the style of Samurai Gourmet. A lot funnier and better than a show about catfishing your dad in an mmorpg really deserves to be. Sort of like the WOW episode of South Park but with a lot of love in it.

    XIV/10

Second time of watching The Sopranos from back to front, this time on Bluray.

    It is perfect 10/10

I was however more pissed off at the ending this time around, probably just sad to see it end :(

I really liked the Sopranos ending... there is a good write up on Den of Geek- not necessarily what I thought at the time but it makes me want to watch the whole thing again!

the ending for sopranos is perfect. im not sure how anyone wouldnt get it. So many people seemed to though.

Anyway Stranger things 2 7/10. first one was an easy ten for me, dont know why this series just didnt click with me as much. still pretty good but i think the pacing was just off for me.

Parks and Rec S2. 9/10. Crikey, that just kept getting better and better. Characters really start to come into their own, especially Ron. The look of glee at a free all you can eat breakfast buffet was a work of genius. Can't wait for more.

Black Sails S1. Total trash but entertaining enough for the commute. Definitely sticking with it. 7.5/10

    Motherland

BBC sitcom about the desperation of parenting starring Philomena Cunk. It's absolutely brilliant. Outnumbered was all about the kids, this is almost anything but the kids.

Whole series up on iplayer now
