    @civil_rhyme

I'm sure you wouldn't be saying that if you actually WERE back in Westeros:)

I really enjoyed that, good moving forward on all the plot lines and dialogue/acting much improved. Only slight disappointment was lack of a battle, just lots of blokes marching about.

Great start as usual, this is going to be a very busy season it seems.

My GF is big into Game of Thrones, but she takes a lot of damage from all the cool characters that are killed off out of hand, and so she absolutely hates Joffrey. When I told her that he's Irish, she was gutted...

Loved the scenes with Peter Dinklage (and his sellsword friend) - highlight of the show as usual.

Everything else was all right. After such a long hiatus, however, I'd forgotten just how wooden some of the acting & dialogue is. GoT can be patchy in that respect (though with CG and such a large cast some would say it's inevitable)... in that sense, it definitely suffers in comparison to other mega-popular greats (Breaking Bad, Boardwalk)...

Apples & oranges, I suppose. Joffrey and his mum are still a delight to watch though.

I can't help but feel sorry for the guy playing Joffrey. Will he ever get any roles after this one? There are no redeeming qualities to his character.

Even miss shouty woods has her cool dragons to fall back on. But Joffrey?

But yes, Dinklage is bliss. Shame about Knights of Badassdom

Yeah, Dinklage always steals the show. And Bronn is always great fun to watch. He always seems to be getting ready to just casually kill someone. ^-^

@Jacksie66: WTF!? Sort 'im out boy! A few digs to head would... Oh wait, it's not real.

    That giant was believable too.

Everybody should just calm down a little bit and have a nice cup of tea.

They were juggling far too many storylines, but I guess that's natural for the first episode back. And there were some great moments, so yeah... good episode. I hope future episodes won't be quite so busy.
It does feel like there are a few to many plot lines to me as each story line gets so little focus. I think they could have lost Stanis easily at this stage. Considering how much is going on and four other plot lines involving major characters did not even feature in the first episode. Still enjoying it a lot but it just feels like each episode should be twice as long to cover everything.

Awesome epsiode. I'd be fucking terrified if Dance was my dad.

Also, random half cast super black afro girl from Hollyoaks speaking in a foreign language FTW!

I'm sure I read somewhere that he doesn't plan on acting once GoT is finished. I think he's at college in Ireland and wants a career to do with whatever he's studying.

@nickthegun We have a strict rule that she has to save all her questions for after the Ep. Although I very graciously allow her to ask as many as she wants all the way through if we have a second viewing.

Not much happened, but it's a good build up episode. I just hope the whole season isn't a build up to one point again. This season should have enough in it to have multiple "build up and release points".

    Come and get it cumslingers!
