Time for my sweet thread of the week :)

What specific moment in gaming no matter how large or small gave you the biggest high in your gaming career. The one moment that really got your heart racing and then made you feel truly invincible?

Mine would prob be getting the achievement for winning 10 ranked matches in a row on super street fighter 4. The fact it could be any quality of player, matches 8, 9 and 10 I thought I was gonna have a stroke.

Honourable mentions to finishing Final Fantasy 9 and killing the End in MGS snake eater after an epic 1 hour battle.

Defeat is not getting knocked down, but refusing to get back up.

Doing Raam on GOW1 on insane. He was a proper boss and he kept forums alive with "Can anyone get on LIVE and give me a hand with Raam?" for months.

    All Trophies - SSBM
Beating the game on Extreme difficulty - MGS2

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a ninja.

Same for me. And that was before they patched it and make it easy and for girls. The time, organisation and commitment required to complete this expansion was crazy.

Its one of the best gaming memories I have, given that I did a lot of it with some Japanese guy who couldn't speak English, we just communicated through the games built in auto-translation chat feature.

It is by far the most rewarding thing I have done in a game or will ever do, the pay off is getting to Sea, a massive gorgeous area filled with floating sharks and lovely serene music.

MMO's are a double edged sword however, the payoffs are so huge and gratifying compared to traditional single player games, but the cost is often your social life, sleep and free time.

    All platinums on PGR2

Elite on Elite, 100% on Vice City and killing the big red and green buggers in FFVII would all be runners up.

In terms of a feeling of achievement, Mile High Club on CoD4.

It's absolutely fucking nails & the wave of complete relief that swept over me when i saw the kidnapper's head explode with less than a second left on the clock almost gave me a semi on. Put it back in the box & vowed never to attempt it again.

Won a Gameboy by winning a SF2 tournament when i was younger as well, which was nice.

Not to shit on those proud of knifing in BC2, I'd say my most LOLHAX moment in that game was on Port Valdez, attackers, spawning as a sniper and parachuting in as the round started. Within about a second of entering, I zoom in on the concrete building, still very much mid-air, aim up a fraction of an inch and pull off an obscene parachute-headshot on a (likely very surprised) recon.

This is all on 360, with a standard M40. I rarely use bolt actions, but it was, like, totally pro.

On a half life vibe the final battle in episode 2 with the 6 million striders was pretty epic and finishing that was a major rush.
