Actually, although not a TV broadcast, I remember The Sun plastered a fake picture of Bin Laden's corpse on their front-page.

If I was Gaddaffi I'd shove a double in a hole and help the rebels find him. I find it strange that his family and cronies leave, but he stays.

Probably sheer pigheadedness on his part.

So the Sun headline/front page today reminds me of why sometimes it's nice to not be in a country where you can't understand the lowest common denominator.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

saw pictures in paper today , not really enjoy see that at all.

The youth in america celebrated when bin laden died , to me being a young person (well very late 20s) in uk, even though what they did is terrible i get no satisifaction from seeing that stuff.
I guess its just a harsh reminder that life over the world is not all roses and happiness which is a good thing to remember.

    So, now it's all done:

Al Queda flag flying over the courthouse of the new government in Benghazi - - The Telegraph - 1st Nov. 2011

    - Mother Jones

Gz to UK, US and France for installing a terrorist organisation in a country that previously had the world's largest civilian irrigation project - until you guys bombed it (contrary to NATO law, but fuck that, eh? It's for fucking queers who don't like bombing shit).

It's going to get messy. I've got quite a few Libyan students. None fans of the Gaddafi regime, but when asked if they'd go back now they sighed and said this was only the beginning.

But of course the other option was to let a tyrant to continue to bitchslap his population. He had to fall at some point and the struggle to sort things out after best happen soon than later.

You really are brilliantly selective, aren't you.

El Baradei is saying that tear gas with a nerve agent and live ammunition are being fired at the protesters in Tahrir Square.

Seen quite a few accounts from people there that the gas didn't seem like the usual stuff.

Some pretty horrific footage on the box today. Fella prone on the ground, clearly unconscious, getting beat to fuck with batons and another sparko'd guy being dragged by his hair.
    Bastards.

Awesome; in the 90s we had black helicopters now we get black flags.

    Henry Rollins must be proud.

Sounds like it's getting pretty horrific in Tahrir. Nerve agents and live ammunition being used now.
