Dont think anyone truly believes that. Same people say the pander to Fergie.

Personally think De Gea has been unfairly criticised while yes there have been mistakes especially last season. However all keepers make them yet he get back page stories about his. If City lose will Harts error be back page news?

    Doubt it
  • Deleted user 9 February 2013 18:56:44
Agreed, they've had so many wasted shots this season.

I'm glad they create so many chances though, the just need that extra bit of cutting edge in the final third.

Leaving aside the whole ABU thing, which I suspect, some United fans actually really believe, it's not like keepers have been immune to criticism before.

That was amazing from Barry. Never seen an own goal quite like it.

    Video
The one he scored against Villa in the cup was an even better finish.

You are a factory of sadness.

Lets talk about De Gea some more. It's not like he's not even involved in this really exiting game currently being played.

It's not ABU, it's just typical build them up, knock 'em down from the media. Not much else to criticise about United this year so any mistakes will be pounced on.

Aye and Joe Hart rarely makes errors anyway. Not like he's constantly dodgy and has made numerous mistakes this year.

Same in CL, Kompany ducked a shot against Madrid and went straight down Hart's throat and he didn't deal with it. Oh well Barrylols
    Good shout, forgot that one.

Joe Hart being a calamity goakeeper wouldn't stop De Gea being one too. Chuck Sneezy in you've got the holy trinity.

I'd have thought, since we were discussing rubbish goalkeepers, De Gea was especially relevant...

Made as much mistakes as De Gea who's 'constantly dodgy'. As I said both will turn into top class keepers given time.

Man City are getting humped by Southampton, right? that's a thing that's happening?
  • Deleted user 9 February 2013 19:08:21
I thought we were discussing the City game.

Ok fine, lets carry on comparing Hart and De Gea. Here's a good point of comparison. Joe Hart cost 750k. De Gea cost 17m. And most would take Hart anyday over De Gea, so really not sure why Man U fans are so quick to make the comparison.

Comparing this season. Think they have both had solid seasons so far with mistakes

Hart is a fantastic keeper. The best keeper I've seen in the flesh at the age of 20 - superhumanly good and always destined for the very top of his profession. I wouldn't trust De Gea to catch a cold.

Utd fans are the only fans who become more bitter when things go well for them.

One thing's for sure, this adds a larger gap to the relegation battlers and is a bit worrying for me! No doubt Man City will play amazing against us in a couple of games' time :-/

Yeah and they both will turn out top class I reckon. Doesn't mean he can't be criticised for awful mistakes.

Well good job only United and the fans need worry. More than happy with him as midfield is more of an issue rather than De Gea
