Total basic outlay for Samba is 32.5 million. Nice work 'arry.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

    Redknapp December 22nd 2012:
"There are a lot of players at this club who earn far too much money," he said. "Far too much for their ability and what they give to the club.
“I don't really want to see the owners have their pants taken down like they have in the past”
Redknapp, 65, says the club's wage bill is too high and certain individuals in his squad are earning more than players at his former team Tottenham.
"A lot of agents made money out of them [the club's owners]," Redknapp said.
"I fined a player last week and he was earning more than any player earned at Tottenham. You shouldn't be paying massive wages when you've got a stadium that holds 18,000 people."

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

We need a striker, and we like to buy old players back too. Could be a deal on the cards ;)
That would be absolutely hilarious. I think Kalel would lose his shit :-D

Fuck I'd chuck in a tenner a week towards his wages just to see it

    Butland photographed at Stoke ground.

Bit odd that he'd turn down Chelsea because he wants to be number one, only to go to Stoke where he presumably will be behind Begovic. Unless Begovic is off?

I heard a little about that one - His agent used to be Mark Cartwright, who is new chief scout at Stoke....

All sounds very much above board.

He must be. Why would he turn down the opportunity to sit behind cech to accept an opportunity to sit behind begavic.

Lets be honest, this means hes off to Man U and its curtains for DDG.

David Beckham reveals he will donate his PSG salary to a children's charity in Paris. Wowzers.
... I like him even more now!

    : )

Beckham on why he has chosen to donate his salary to charity:
"One of the reasons I wanted to come to Paris was we decided on something quite unique. I won't receive any salary. My salary will go to a local children's charity. That's one of the things we're excited and proud to do. It's something exciting and I'm not sure it's been done before."

Considering the media circus around him, he has always seemed down to earth and very likable.

My mates GF is a stokey and is part of the growing 'lets kick on/pulis out' crowd, tired of Pulis's brand of dour shite and, with the resources they have believe they should be playing like swansea.

This huge PR push by PSG has nothing whatsoever to do with the allegations of dodgy dealing and corruption (again) floating around, I'm sure.

Also, while we are on the subject, i read the other day that Drogba has given £20m to charity in his career.

Drogba does a lot of good work in Africa from what I've read. He is a proper cunt on the pitch but seems like a tidy bloke off it.

Yup. Supposedly the reason he's such a cunt about his wages is because so many schools and hospitals in Togo are being supported by them.

Drogba is a genuine saint though. Seriously. There's been talk of a Nobel prize for him I believe.

Friendly footballers aren't as uncommon as people think.

Becks and Drogba are clearly special cases though. Utter saints.

Going back to the Butland thing - heard that it could be a Zaha type deal where he spends the remainder of the season on loan at Birmingham so maybe Begovic off in the summer?

And yep, got a lot of love for what Didier does.

Bit too much alliteration in that sentence.
