I wish Everton would find the time to do something Jan.

A couple of really good signings could push us into fourth. Unfortunately I think Spurs and Arsenal and probably Liverpool all have better squads than us at the moment.

    Haha. Bitterness. Excellent.
Was aimed at Gooners more than Spuds. If we had got him on a free and paid him that much, our fans would be up in arms at us paying big money to another potential Diaby.

Holtby has completed 90 mins just 35 times in the last three and a half seasons. Bit of a gamble at 70k per week IMO.
He runs his bloody socks off for 80 mins every week then gets subbed. 90 mins is a red herring.

Think of it as 7m transfer fee and 40k a week. Bargain.

Be interesting to see where AVB uses him though. I'd say ahead of Sandro and Dembele in the middle 3.

Really do think Spurs could be title challengers if they give AVB 4 good transfer windows including this one. And that's taking into account Bale probably leaving.

Pretty jealous of Spurs getting Holtby. Wonder if it'll mean Siggy out?

Nah. He's the Modric replacement we never got. And possibly one eye on Bale going eventually.

Siggy is coming good. Last couple of games been excellent.

@Dougs I'm thinking creativity from the wings; replacing one of the forwards with a creative player. Certainly don't wanna see either arteta or jack on the wings. And we only operate with one AM (not that I wouldn't mind a switch to 2, but I doubt Wenger will).

As for the Holtby appearances, as stated in the arsenal group, that stat is super misleading. He's averaged over 30 appearances per season. He is young so rarely played 90 mind. Also, his reduced games is due to his injury-plagued 2010 season, so rather misleading to pick his recent 3 seasons only.

Are you purposefully overlooking my actual point that my issue is due to our lack of interest or something?

No, I'm just making my own point.

Time to cut down on the anabolics perhaps...

Its a touch one, you've currently made a loss, yet you have a decent chance of getting 4th. But your wages are something like 70% turnover. To buy players and miss out on the CL would put you at serious risk of the FFP.

But getting it would make a massive financial difference.

    lol, poor troll attempt.
But you're pretty infamous for your passive-aggressive ways. At least your not a mod anymore, thank God.

Wait, so are we now supposed to cry over every young promising player that has the audacity to join a team other than Arsenal? Do we not have enough midfielders as it is?

Apparently Holtby's main problem is inconsistency. He's got potential, but still far from a world-beater right now. Erm, yeah, we could have really done with another one of those players on our team.

My bad, I apologise, I dare not face his (passive) wrath.

Any noise on Nani? Maybe we're in foe him instead (that Michael Jackson c*nt. Still hate him for that seal-dribble against us, lol).

Well we don't get World-beaters anyway. I thought this is what we did, get players just about to be great, before selling off to Manchestalona?

He's a creative player that can play on the wings, that's somewhat cheap. He's a great squad addition to a CL-chasing team (like us, or Spurs).
I've been a fan for a couple of years now.

Rather see him than Gervinho tbh.
One can only hope we have something else lined up that's better, as we did with Cazorla.

Dude, you're the one that (yet again) picked a fight where there was none. Hidden within the anabolics joke was a fair point that if you just chill a bit, you won't keep locking horns with people.

He's been 'leaving' for 2 years now. That said he'll probably be gone in the summer.

Hehe, Ferguson wants the football authorities to investigate the Fryers to Spurs deal.

I've been a fan for a couple of years now.
Wenger must have looked at our midfield, saw the likes of Wilshere, Cazorla, Arteta, Rosicky, Ox, Ramsey, Diaby, Coquelin, Eisfeld, Gnabry and then realised it would be silly to add yet another "promising" young player at 70k a week to the squad.

Im not sure if I like Sturridge signing for us or not yet. I know we need another forward (badly) but there is talk of suarez being pushed out wide which im not sure would work

Fair enough him having a pop at Levy's integrity as the Glazers are known for their impeccable business ethics.

Ferguson says in his own statement Spurs have not broken any rules. Should have agreed a reasonable compensation deal rather than demanding 6 million for a young kid. He's still angry at Levy taking him to task for tapping up Berbatov.

Come on, they're all sitting on a bench sipping tea and eating crumpets.
