There's no point in giving it to a foreigner. The players and public have given up on England which is reflected in their half arsed performances.

Even mourinho couldn't get a song out of them.

I've said it before - Ian Holloway would be the perfect manager for England in so many ways. :)

If it was holloway at least the press conferences would be entertaining.

    Ever?

We're produced a World Cup winning side and have come close as well. I don't see any reason why that can't ever happen again.

No England manager will ever have a chance until we actually want them to succeed.

Speaking of which, what do people make of Mark Sampson? It's probably the Bristolian accent, but I find it difficult to believe his side of the story...

I don't believe him at all. I just can't see why Aluko would make it up, and it's a very specific accusation as well. It's not like she's saying he used the N word or whatever. It's incredibly believable and if she has made that up she is a total psychopath, which I don't think she is. He's now changing his story as well which is very suspect.

Can also easily believe the FA have tried to cover the whole thing up.

Look at these twats - bad enough the officials make the mistake they do in awarding them the goal, but there's a right way to behave and this way...

Klopp still going on about how there was no intent or malice in Mane's tackle.

I know I keep harping on about the rules but it does boggle my mind slightly that so many people who should know the rules clearly don't. There is literally not a single word in the description of serious foul play, that implies intent. It is simply about whether your play endangers an opponent.

You only have to look at the state of the player. If a challenge that causes injuries like that doesn't bring a red card, then it's open season.

I don't understand why people think it's not a red card. There's obvious contact he had a serious high foot the keeper looked out cold. Straight red all day long.

The ball went in the side netting and the goal was given.

And then the red team seem to have stopped playing in protest and the filthy whites run through and score an open goal

No indeed, while Fellaini played really well the other night, he's not going to be playing Basel on Sunday, we need mobility and a bit of guile.

Hopefully Herrera and Matic for Sunday. It will be Fellaini though.

Should have been more firm with pereira and not let him out on loan. Hindsight I guess.

But even with fellaini and Matic in mid, if he plays mikhi as a 10 I'd be relatively happy with that. Herrera would add a bit more mobility instead of Fellaini though.
