To be fair the rumour is it's an interview, which isn't really an "outing".

I've called Ashley Cole to ask if it's him, but his phone keeps ringing and ringing and ringing.

Apparently it's someone who played against Denmark, most of them have kids/wags which narrows it down a lot.

That, or one of the WAGs is going to be in for a hell of a shock.

It'll be Gary Cahill and the most misfortunate typo ever.

I want it to be Steven Gerrard just to see what happens.

Open letter from Moyes to Utd fans. Assume it's genuine, but not checked yet

    Edit: Could be prog notes?

If he wasnt such a fanny rat, I would suggest Raheem Stirling purely because he runs like a complete girl.

No Liverpool player would give an interview to the Sun, so that's half the team ruled out for a start.

I think it would be great if a modern high profile footballer came out and the fans showed the maturity any grown adult should.

It would be a really positive step for the game in England and the world if fans and the FA managed to act like they should. unfortunately I'm not entirely convinced we would get the response you'd hope for, but we can still hope eh?

I really believe that football fans would just accept it and it wouldn't create half the storm the media seem to think it would.

If a current England player is willing to come out in the paper then fair play to them.

It'll be the media that creates the storm, no-one else imo (well, aside from some "banter" at grounds, but fairly small-scale overall)

I dont think fans care that much anymore. It would be interesting to see if more follow.

Whats the latest guess anyway? I reckon Henderson

It's got to be Joe Hart. I really hope this ends well, massive step forward if so.

It's going to be pretty interesting. Could well open the floodgates. Hope so, must suck for so many of these guys to be hiding something like that.

If it is hart, he has done a good job laying the groundwork with those head and shoulders adverts.

Hart is a good call. I'd be pretty sure it was Henderson if not for the Liverpool / Sun connection.

Either way, I hope it all goes well. I'd imagine 95% of fans and players couldn't care less. I'm sure there will be a small minority that make themselves heard though.
