    I can't not know the score. And now with phones I'm hammering refresh no matter where I am.

    When I was in the Dominican Republic the other week with no TV coverage and no internet I 'watched' our game against United on the scrolling score bar at the bottom of their ESPN channel - the one that flicks through all the headlines in every sport, and comes back to the one you're interested in once every 5 mins. Miss it and you're waiting 10 mins. Plus the score kept showing as "90+ mins" for an eternity before they updated it to FT.

    My missus loved every minute of our holiday.

    Yeah I'm the same these days. Very occasionally I've recorded a game and watched it as live but it's not easy or enjoyable.

    Ha, I don't think I could not know the score. Even back 10 years ago couldn't go 5 mins without checking page 316 on ceefax..

    Thankfully haven't missed out on watching any games live yet this season.

    :)† I can't count the times I've been asked by the† GF when the season ends. Reply...† NEVER!† I have to give her some credit. She does try and throw some comments out when I have the CL on the TV.

    I'm the same (if I'm not watching it), but sometimes I find myself delaying finding out just a little because I'm so nervous. As I am most of the time supporting this particular club.

    Yes this is another "Pardew's tactics wind me up" post.

    Meanwhile on the Spur's forums:
    Right Lads. Really excited now. For the first time in years I`ve just managed to get through my shift at work without hearing the result. I`m gonna grab a couple of beers and watch my sky plus recording and not view any posts on here to give anything away. Come on you mother-fucking spurs lets smash`em. Judging by the number of pages on the match thread already I`m getting the tingling feeling there`s a spurs classic on the way. See ya later ! COYS

    Amazing :D

    I see Alex won the Sports Personality of the Year lifetime thing-me-bob.

    ... hopefully that'll be the last thing that comes out of Manchester United, trophy wise!

    Okay the ': )' thing is starting to remind me of 'Peej' at the end of all of his posts.

    @Syrette

    Is this a good or a bad thing?

    ... I hope it is good, because I don't like being anything bad.

    @CharlieStCloud

    It's just a 'thing'.

    Anyway let's get back to spurslols despite Spurs' league position not being that bad at all.

    They'll be looking a lot more midtable if they lose away to Southampton next week.

    On topic: Liverpool have apparently now scored more goals from open play at White Hart Lane than Tottenham have this season.
    Oh dear god that's embarrassing.....

    So Welshit's niche is sticking his foot in the way of balls?

    Not convinced he knew much about either of those.

    I bet you 90% of the posters in this thread don't get that reference.

    Me neither. As usual great effort and endeavour from him but he'll have to put a lot more goals in his game to be worth considering for a first team spot.

    Two braces this season make his goals tally very flattering.

    Got a rare start up front and popped up with two real strikers goals. Hopefully a sign of more to come. His linkup play was excellent too

    Impressed with Welbeck yesterday, I thought he looked much better upfront, and his pace, strength and runs were excellent for the team going forward.

    Should keep his place on Wednesday.
