Fair play to Lallana and J-Rod. Weird to see three Southampton players in the England squad!

Shame Lovren and Fonte aren't English though >.>

"When it comes to Jay Rodriguez, Danny Welbeck at the moment has been injured. We hope and believe he will be fit to play - but I see Rodriguez as someone who could possibly fill that Welbeck role."

So he expects him to be shit. Takes the pressure off I suppose :)

Delph not called up again, considering his form and consistency this season it seems strange. Especially that he is behind Cleverly who has, by all accounts, been pretty bad.

You are a factory of sadness.

I'll admit I haven't seen much of Delph recently, but what does he actually do? (Apart from get booked a lot, that is).

He provides a lot of energy in midfield some good footwork, positioning and drive. He is a terrier-type style and is good at disrupting play. He is somewhat lacking distribution at times but with no good movement from our other cms that is hard tonfully judge. He has been outstanding and motm in nearly every match this season.

You are a factory of sadness.

Which is bloody weird because since he was bought as a highly rated youngster he's done shit all!

Having a great season though, unfortunately he is in that position where he will never be called up until he plays for a big four.

Lallana has really stepped up this season, glad to see he's been rewarded.

Yeah, it is true that he has been lacking for a while but he had some pretty had injuries, thankfully he has pulled through that and he is showing why he was so highly rated. Fairly common problem and thankfully he got over his problems. Still a walking yellow card though.

Congratulations Arsenal in advance for your wonderful 8-2 victory over us this Sunday.

    We're truly a lost force.

We've got Hull this weekend. Not really sure what to expect as I haven't really seen them at all this season.

Having recently played them twice in a week, you can certainly expect a tough game!

They set up to defend against us (and did so very well). Not sure how good they are going forward though.

Yeah he did struggle on first joining us, high work rate but was incredibly rash in his challenges, used to make me wince when I first watched him.

Had 3 pretty severe injuries from what I remember, but the end of last season and the start of this season he's been a revelation, great ball retention, quick feet and a great engine - doesn't score enough goals though but then no-one at Villa does!

Be nice to see him recognised for his form, I think he's got an injury at the moment - apparently is a doubt for the game this weekend.

Breaking down teams who sit back isn't really one of our strong points. Sounds like they have a few injuries up front so could be a tight game.

I just find it amusing that, for once, Arsenal under AW seem to be considered favourites against Man Utd at OT. I really thought those days were long gone.

Just hope the Arsenal players don't start believing their own hype, although to be fair they've delivered so far this week.

Hull are very well well organised but toothless upfront. I suspect the high pressing that your guys are doing may well cause them quite a few problems, especially Huddlestone, although he has been rather good this season so far so he may be ok.

The fortress mystique of Old Trafford is definitely fading pretty quick, a lot of teams will fancy their chances up there now.

This season, I don't think there are any fortresses. But yeah, football dynasties are born and die. Beautiful in its own way.

His passing isn't good enough for the current international game, where possession is key.

That's also one of the reason Smalling gets called up fairly frequently ahead of the likes of Dawson. Smalling can also play in a couple of positions to a decent level, so having a versatile player in a squad of 23 is more important than A.N.Other CB.

I thought Delph just had some kind of illness last weekend. We will need him against Palace as no one else seems to have stepped up in his absence.

While I agree his passing is a bit of a let down, it still doesn't explain why Cleverly is ahead of him considering Cleverly has been rubbish and is really lacking confidence. If it's just for continuity then that seems like strange thinking considering they're friendlies. I think this applies wholesale as there are plenty of other players that deserve a look-in too.

You are a factory of sadness.
