He doesn't go down without a reason, although the reason is to get a penalty or a freekick unfairly.

Diving sucks and is cheating but refs don't give you penalties if you stay on your feet even if it's a blatant foul in the box.

I'm also one of the rare NUFC fans that likes him. A lot of our fans forget that he's still a young manager and he hasnt got loads of top flight experience - in fact, i think last season with us was only his second full season in the Premiership after he took West Ham up?

He's still got a bit to learn tactically, but his man management and passion for the club is fantastic. I think our fans need to realise that, as long as he doesnt take us down, he's most likely going to be here for the next 7 years or so of his contract.

Plus, he's got silky skills :

Nice to have a manager who isn't a bigger name than his club.

It's another staggering deal. Our new 150m deal is for shirt sponsorship till 2019 and stadium naming until 2028. Mental.

It's more a reflection on their size than ours. Ours is still a sizeable deal.

I must say overall my throat is now little bit better. I believe Extra Strong Lockets have exceptional menthol strength.

Lowton is looking like a cracking player.

In many ways, I prefer Remy's. The technique is just sublime.

I hope Stoke get a new manager now. Championship style football isn't good enough so many years in the Premiership, they haven't evolved at all.

    Zero creativity.

I think I may have said it in the football league thread but thats the difference between the elite and the also rans.

Ive seen Derby play a few times this year and almost without exception, not a single player in any of the teams ive seen can hit a ball first time. They all want to take a touch, often a bad one, and the chance is gone.

At the top level the technique is just a different gravy altogether. It really is a stark difference and one of the reasons teams get humped when they go up because most teams have a player who just needs one chance to bang it in.

I reckon Lowton will be converted into a right winger before too long.

It's definitely between Lowton and Remy for goal of the season right now, with Remys strike just a bit better. You don't see many side foots with that much power and bend.

The old Trafford name is worth a fortune to the brand. No one gives a shit about the name if the training ground.

Thats why its so high. I mean, what the hell is it currently called? New Trafford or some shit like that.

Honestly, how much milage will a company get out of this deal?

The things companies sponsor, crazy. Who is going too see that, MUTV subscribers and kids visiting with their folks. Rest of us getting a glimpse during transfer deadline day.

Carrington innit? Or is that City's? Sponsoring training shirts I can understand as papers and other news outlets are full of shots from training, but the ground doesn't make sense to me.

Hats off to whoever has brokered that deal, to be honest.

Although, to be fair, there will probably be more hoardings around the training pitches than at old trafford now.

There is probably more to it. Access to players for marketing, use of corporate facilities etc etc

Google sez its offically the Trafford Training Center.

If I was a billionaire, I would probably drop 120m on renaming it the Trafford International Training Site.

You never know, whoever arranged it might get the sack like the Chevvie broker. And yeah, much of it is probably marketing etc.
