15m. 10% of the conversion cost. That's all WHU are paying up front. Sickening. Fuck knows how that got past State Aid.

Really is shocking, but the gov played their part by developing a stadium that needed converting in the first place.

IMO, the fact that how much we get from the selling of the club is what bugs me (and the 10 year timeline). If it's substation, as in a profit of what it call cost for the stadium, then it's worth it at the end.

If it's not, and I suspect it isn't, then it's a bitch move.

Honestly, would've been better to give it to Spurs if they weren't willing to tear down the whole thing again.

His name sounds like a noise a Street Fighter character would shout just before he fired a fireball out of his left nostril or something.

McManamans challenge could have lopped his leg off, which would have flown up in the air and then the broken bone would have gone through his eye and killed him.

Given West Ham will pay 2m a year in rent plus some additional income from hospitality type stuff, on top of the 15m for a stadium they won't actually own. It's not that bad a deal to find a use for a stadium that currently has no major usage.

It will also mean redevelopment of the old ground area, which will help the London economy in general.

From The Olympics to bubble machines in just a few years. Quite a fall from grace.

Is it me or do we get drawn with San Marino a disproportionately high amount of times?

You could be right. Begs the perennial questions of what to do with minnows. I think it's alright like it is, but you hear a lot of people that want a qualifying group with teams like San Marino, Andorra, Scotland, etc.

@TheSaint as a west ham fan I'd like to point out there are plenty of clubs that would be considered a far further fall from grace in both footballing and social terms.

    Chelsea for example.

West Ham has a long tradition as a well supported and well loved club by many neutrals. So nyah!

My Dad's a West Ham fan.

I think it's his only flaw.

    @RobTheBuilder Arsenal.

Arsenal are his second team. And when they win he often says 'good result for us today'. So he does redeem himself a little with that.

I had a West Ham supporting builder do my driveway last year. Two weeks after he went I noticed the West Ham logo created in the pointing between two bricks.

I think, to be honest, we/europes elite should be seeded to skip this shit. To be honest, I would even support the argument for the top ten in the world to qualify automatically.

@kentmonkey Haha. I once was in a Shoreditch club when some random guy asked me who I supported. I said West Ham but was wary. He then replied Arsenal, but said he liked West Ham.. we had a mutual enemy in Chelsea and that was good enough.

    hah.

The problem with allowing the top ten in the world to qualify automatically (or any number for that matter) is that they get in the top ten by competing in competitive games. If they're not qualifying, the number of competitive games drops.

That and it would really screw up some WC in favour of South American or European sides.

I'm happy with everyone competing to qualify as it is. It's meant to be a 'World Cup' and the minnows do learn things from competing against better teams. If all they get to play against are other minnows, I doubt progression for them will ever come about.

@nickthegun Yeah, how dare those teams have a chance of qualifying.
