Yes, whereas in other walks of life you would be fine in the workplace going around calling colleagues a tit in public with no fear of losing their job.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

I like Chris Moyles, I think he is funny. The only annoying thing for me about his show is the music, because it's kind of friday night, youthful music. Even though the station is aimed at young people, I can't believe anyone wants to listen to that in the morning. It will be good if he goes to Radio 2 as rumoured.

Moyles is a fucking cunt. Hopefully he'll go away forever, but that's unlikely.

It's an absolute masterstroke that Radio 1 have found someone even more unlikeable than him as his replacement.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

He was fun and refreshing for a short while, before his tremendous ego enveloped him.

What is actually wrong with having a big ego?

What a ridiculous question, I can't believe you have wasted my time with it.

I've turned off all the avatars and crap, so don't expect me to be impressed by yours.

Realise I'm in the minority, always enjoyed his radio show, always get the impression the other team members enjoy working with him. I'll be disapointed when it ends.

I wonder how many people turned it down before they offered it to Grimshaw, I refuse to believe he was first choice.

    @speedofthepuma ;)

I looked at twitter earlier and the moyles trending topic timeline was full (probably about 90%) of people desperate to tell the world they didn't care and didn't listen in the first place. Odd.

Re the new person, doesn't the breakfast show have a bit of a precedent of hiring a succession of young things for a few months before settling on a more long term option?

Surely if you think he knows fuck all about football he'd be perfect for talksport? :)

R3, 4 and 6 must be safe, surely. Radio 1 is beyond words, mainly in the day time. Fearne Cotton and Scott Mills are equally repellant, for different reasons.

@superdelphinus anyone who doesn't sound like they are constantly trying to lick their nose while talking would be good

Someone who knows a bit about and likes music would be a good start.

Radio 1's not about the music until about 7pm anyway, surely?

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Since I don't listen to the show anyway, my only concern is that this increases the likelihood of Moyles polluting my world by turning up somewhere else. The replacement by Nick "Fucking Hipster" Grimshaw should at least reduce the incidence of his bobbleheaded blandness on E4, which is a bonus.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Ha! Can you imagine him filling in for Jeremy Vine?
Jeremy Vine can barely handle Jeremy Vine.

    I can't stand his guests
I find myself listening to his show as I'm driving between sales visits. Not sure why, some of the topics that they deem worthy of discussion are ridiculous. And why they feel it's necessary to do a monthly segment on Terry's bloody allotment is beyond me.

At 7PM it's about Zane Lowe's ego, then eventually we might get to some music before midnight.

I caught a bit of Nick Grimashaw on the radio the other day and could help thinking that he is a bit of a bellend. Didn't spend much time listening to his show so I could have tuned in at a weak point for him.

I'm sad to see him go even if the missus and I thought he's come across as bored of doing the show for ages now.

But it's a nostalgic thing mostly and that Grimshaw is going to be even more annoying to wake up to. I think I'd prefer the shitty buzzer to him.

Finally, makes the extortion of having to pay a TV licence slightly more bearable.

Those obnoxious twats you get in bars that go around feeling womens arses and trying to spike them with rohypnol are going to be lost now without a leader.
