That Christchurch is situated on the Ring of Fire and that New Zealand experiences about 14,000 earthquakes a year.

That the bit that sticks up from trains, collecting electricity from the overhead cables are called pantographs and that drivers should remember to drop them.

Indeed, I'm Scottish and think they are bunch of cunts. Pretty much avoided Scottish politics since Alex Salmond squeaked his way into power with one seat and declared himself the messiah.

I hate Salmond and the SNP with a passion. They do not have a bloody clue on how things work.

Salmond is a complete sleaze of the highest order. If your young, female and like to wear short skirts he takes a special interest in your views and opinions.

Today I learned that search and rescue dogs get depressed when all they find are dead people (like in Japan at the moment), so now to keep their morale up, the handlers occasionally hide living volunteers in the rubble for the dogs to find.

    Tragic yet fascinating.

I think that's the most bittersweet fact I've ever heard.

-- boobs do nothing for me, I want moustaches and chest hair.

That upon introduction of CCTV to an English seaside town, the inhabitants were outraged by the invasion of privacy (the sea-view CCTV monitors the beach) that they began to reenact Shakespeare plays in front of the cameras in a bid to mock them.

That made me feel warm/fuzzy and sad.

    +1 Poor dogs.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

I've had a dog for almost 2 years now and it's my first experience with owning one.

It's unbelievable how emotional these little guys are! I'm always worried about making him happy...

Dog's are pretty neurotic buggers sometimes. As prone to guilt, self-doubt, over-confidence, feelings of insecurity and grief as most people - luckily they're a fuck of a lot easier to please most of the time and most of them spend a lot more time in the state of 'mindless joy' than we manage.

You really should read this =)

I only just learned after 33 years that you should brush your teeth before breakfast and not after.

I always waited till after breakfast so I could have clean teeth for the day, but apparently that is really bad as it drives the sugars and acids from the meal into your teeth.

Plus, eating breakfast with unbrushed teeth is just... disgusting. I find that my cereal tends to taste a little off. Always better to brush first, and then a quick mouth rinse after breakfast.

Yes I love the taste of minty porridge in the morning.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.
