    @damagedinc

    Have you had a proper look around down there? Both in the swamp and in the bell area?

    There is potentially lots more to see and do!

    @damagedinc Sounds like very good progress, but nothing you have written confirms that you've seen it all yet ;)

    I got Ole Ceaseless in about three hits. Turns out it's a bit of a glitch. Did you grab the gift near to him?

    Haha perhaps not, i left it at the bonfire before ceaseless discharge. Although will go back see if i have missed anything. I did pick up the robes (very cool looking) sonhave them at least.

    Blighttown was ok i thought. If you manage your armour with the posion reisistant attire and take your time its ok. I still died a fuck load of times but always felt it was my error and not the games.

    The slow down was an issue but by no means a game breaker.

    I think im reaping the rewards from extensive farming earlier in the game.

    Will post an update when im next on as i am no doubt going to struggle at some point.

    This is the build I usually rock. Hope anyone finds it useful.

    Probably a stupid question, but who or what is ceaseless discharge?

    @robc84 He's one of the bosses in Demon Ruins.

    EDIT: I've got to admit, I'm a little puzzled that damagedinc mentioned him along the second bell, though...

    I was thinking it was something in blighty that I'd missed.

    If I was to head to nlr next, am I to understand that I need a certain type of weapon?

    Not yet. These things will come in time.

    As you make your first run in, keep your eyes open for shinies. When you get something you don't understand, examine it carefully and ask here :)

    @robc84

    Yes! You need a cursed weapon to deal with the ghosts, such as the jagged ghost blade or the great sword of artorias.

    Alternatively, you could just curse yourself with the transient curse and use any weapon you like - that's how I usually do it.

    @damagedinc It's more around the Swamp you should be looking for extra adventures at this stage; not DR ;)

    Cool, i was in the swamp and got to the other side to beat the spider wich. After that just followed the path and ended up in demon ruins.

    My last bonfire is DR so think i will head back to the swamp and have a proper wonder as adviced. Did have a good look around the swamp but found mostly souls and other various goodies.

    @damagedinc Try having more of a "feel" than a "look"...

    A "prod" if you will...

    Twice...

    @robc84 You frolicking in NLR yet?

    Lovely place :D

    I just had a half hour farming in there, hoping for upgrade materials, but no luck. Did manage to level up once more, though (End = 38).

    I think I'll put it behind me now. There's no way I can get four of what I want. No doubt there is still better gear ahead, so it's back to Anor Londo for me, for another pop at Pinky and Perky :)

    @EMarkM

    Nope not yet. My plan is to kill the dragon (poison arrows?) Then head to the garden via the basin to complete my unfinished business there. May do the crest door while I'm at it.

    Then head back to the basin bonfire and through votd to nlr.

    Still not sure if I need a cursed weapon or not :confused:

    @robc84 rob you don't need one. You'll do more damage with a transient curse and your current upgraded weapon. Its better to 1 shot the ghosts as they can be a pain when they swarm you.

    Use the furysword +5 and a transient curse. They go down in 1 hit, which is pretty much essential down there if you want to stay alive

    Whats a transient curse then and where do I get one?

    I gave up on the dragon. Couldn't poison him and the fucker heals himself anyway!

    Back in the garden and I'm a bit lost. I can either go one way which seems to have more tree demons, or another way which has what I first thought were giant rats, but I now realise may be cats! Either way they are brutal!

    TC allows you to hit them. You'll find a couple of them shortly after entering but they're also sold by one of the merchants. I think the one in the shortcut tunnel.

    It's how I've always done NLR but it can be tricky and certainly ramps up the tension as they only last a limited period of time (which is surprisingly long fortunately).

    And they always run out when you really don't want them to :-)

    Have them equipped and active instead of your estus as they're greyed out when active, but as soon as it wears off, you'll see the icon light up again, indicating you need to cast it again

    As Fixxxer says, there's a couple just before you go across the bridge and the ghosts themselves drop it as a fairly high rate, plus you can find them as loot. You won't run out, but you need to keep a close eye on when the effect has worn off

    Cool thanks.

    I'll worry about that when I get there. I have other problems to deal with in the garden right now...

    @robc84 there's a safe spot where the giant cats attack you in the garden.á Lure them towards you and retreat and once they've done their rolling attack you can get a few hits in. Rinse and repeat until down :)

    I got caught a bit of guard the first time. Killed the first one and got rushed by 2 more. I'll be more careful next time!

    Maybe I'll try heading the other way first.

    They do my head in those 3. They never drop fuck all and are a pain in the arse to kill. Especially if you've got a giant mushroom punching you in the kisser while youre trying to sort it all out

    Not seen the giant mushroom(s) yet. Hate those things though. They hit bloody hard.
