    @quadfather :D

    Edit; Congrats on your momentous achievement. Even though every character I have made (about 10) have all found BBS's. ;)

    Poor Quaddy can't win. He even gets mocked when he does find a bss.

    @EMarkM - perhaps some poise too?
    I was getting that from my Wolf ring, but obviously won't be if having to use these two rings.

    I'll give it some thought ;)
    Hmmm. My Poise IS shit with this setup (17).

    Might have to swap Cloranthy out for Wolf :( Take the stamina regen hit.

    Cloranthy is situational. You only need it for 1 boss fight really

    Yes, the improvement doesn't seem to be that impressive with it after all, having done a few tests. If I'm taking my time in battle, as it seems I always should be, there's usually plenty of time to recharge at normal rate.

    So, it's Havel's and Wolf for me at the moment. Did swap Wolf for Hawk temporarily, just to deal with the Golden Golem in DRB from afar. Worked out alright ;)

    It's good that you're not using the fap ring. It's a good ring, but you end up relying on it too much. I accidentally put it on (trying to swap rings mid-fight being a twat) on my new character and I know I'm going to have to take it off soon, but it's like the one ring out of lotr. fucking thing is addictive

    @EMarkM

    You big girl. Get up close to that Golem and stab it in the back! ;)

    I've been using wolf and havel for ages now. Not found anything more useful to displace either of them.

    @quadfather I keep looking at it, but the more specific properties of all my other rings pull me back.

    It's the old "a little bit of everything" versus "a lot of what you actually need right now" argument. I think I'll stick with current thinking ;)

    The problem is that the ring gets better the more you level up your stats, as it's based on a 20% increase. It's annoying. In fact, I'm going to take it off later today and break the bloody thing once and for all

    I just use havels and dark wood to look fabulous

    @robc84 Heh. I started this character with an archer in mind (not realising how different the game is to TES, etc.) and intend to stick with it!

    I think it was in one of my earliest chats with Quaddy (forgive if not) on here where I was questioned for declaring my bow to be my main weapon. Rightly so, of course: neither archery nor backstabbing work like I'm used to here.

    Still, the DkS version of a stealth character is working out well for me, and still appeals far more than tank or mage.

    Yeah, a bow is essential imo. Along with sneaking about. You should get the fog ring too

    @EMarkM I jest of course :)

    I was always a sneaky archer in TES games too. Have always preferred light builds to tank like builds. I wouldn't say a bow is my main weapon, but it was certainly one of the first things I looked for when starting DkS.

    Usually if I can snipe from afar, I will. It's also essential for luring enemies out 1 by 1!

    @quadfather No spoilers! I've heard of it, but have no idea where it is to be found.

    As I'm having another "avoid the Chuckle Brothers at all cost" scaredy-cat run at the moment, I will just ask this:-

    Have I already missed it? Is it somewhere I can go back to? Or is it still ahead?

    Not come across the fog ring yet. Is that kind of like the thief ring in Demon's?

    You can always get it - no worries there

    And yes, Rob, it's just like the thief's ring

    Again, situational, but useful

    I wore the thief ring pretty much all the time in Demon's, along with my black leather armour. :)

    Green you say... Have I been there before?

    I've consigned mine to The Box so that I don't do a Quad and put it on by mistake.

    Also chucked a few more that I never use in there, in order to save clutter; Tiny Being and at least one or two sorcery/miracle ones.

    I'd say the RoFaP is very useful on your first play through as it makes things that slight bit easier when one inevitably fucks up. Same with the ring that boosts defence when hp is low. Not essential but a helping hand along the way.

    Just took on the Painted World far too early and I forgot all about the toxic affect and as my only weapon of use is the Zwei I don't have time to roll away. Only just navigated my way through because I was able to splat and then snipe from distance, I had one chance as I'd have run out of bolts and I managed to do it. Pretty tense though :-)

    Doing the painted world first also means that I have to redo the elevated section for the third time now because the bridge thing is a level down. I think my choice was predicated on trying to put off Stinky and Onerous for as long as possible.

    You are a factory of sadness.

    Think Quad is having a bad day :)

    To weigh in on this debate, I have no idea what an RoFaP is.... Ring of Something and Something I'm guessing.
