On the PC you enter the code in the redeem code bit on GFWL then the option to play through it appears on the main screen where you select, new game, options and all that.

Ah it appears that was the answer. I've redeemed it through Xbox.com so I assume it'll allow me access when I play it next. Ta.

Turns out I had to download it from GfWL. Amusingly it said the download was 380K, but my suspicions were aroused when it took nearly half an hour to download. It's installed the add-on in my GfWL folder - 1.5GB.

I get annoyed when I (as Batman) get hit by a minor thug, this shouldn't happen and I feel like I'm letting the character down.

Stange thing with this game is that I want to finish all the trophies except for the Riddler ones, which appear to be ripped from the first game and a matter of grinding like hell to finish, no thanks!

The Catwoman DLC is a bit mince or just me?

I played it afterwards making it a little jarring as it fits in the Batman campaign though rather loosely.

Maybe upgrade some abilities while hunting a few trophies and see if it gets better.

Harley Quinn DLC worth getting ?

It's short, but I enjoyed playing as Robin.

Completed the New Game + mode. Mixes it up enough and brings a little more challenge. Made me use better variations in combat which was a nice change. Still not good enough for three stars in the extreme combat challenges, predator is more my thing, aced those.

Second playthrough, I loved one of the henchmen in the Steel Mill doing a Harley Quinn impression. Never noticed that first time, it was pretty funny.

Finished the main game last night, wondering if it's worth doing the NG+.

I think I'm gonna do the Predator challenges first, finding them the most fun. I didn't even know you could do half the stuff with the gadgets.

One of my favourite things to do in the whole game is deactivate thugs' weapons then drop down in front of them.

It is for me. Messed around with the settings for ages trying to get the frame rate stable. Guess they didn't bother.

Yea, I've not bothered touching the PC version in a while as it was horribly optimised

Does anyone know if the bonus content on the GOTY for the 360 is included on the disc, or will it come as codes for downloading?

I've bought (idiot) some DKR costume DLC. I've entered the code in order to use the DLC without completing the game. I hit start, get access to the free Batman Inc costume and Batman's normal suit. My DLC doesn't show. I've redownloaded several time.

    Help.

UPDATE: check the game in memory and it's not there. I'm going to try and DL from marketplace not in-game and see what happens.

    Sorry for the bump.

Finally got round to playing this after meaning to for months! I'm enjoying it so far. It does feel a little over familiar after playing AA, but I do really like having a whole city to fly around in :)

One thing that I am finding quite hard to organise is all the side missions. I'm only about 4 hours in and I seem to have about 6-7 different side missions on the go at once!

My question is: do I have to do all the side missions before getting past a certain stage in the main story or can they be finished at any point in the game?

I want to concentrate on the main story for a while you see but I don't want to miss out on any of the side missions.

You can leave them until you completed the main story if you want, the game just puts you right back in the city after the end and leaves you to it, side missions, riddler trophies etc.

Nice to mix it up though.

IIRC all side missions will still be available once you finish the main mission, however you might want to try a couple of them rather than piling through the main story as that is shorter than it first seems.

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

Ok cheers for the info guys, much appreciated.

I'm planning on doing the majority (if not all) of the side missions before I complete the main story. I just didn't want to do any more of the main missions (even though I've only just started really) if there was a risk I'd lose some side missions.

    All sounds fine though :)

He's right, though. Not that this is a bad game by any means; just completely overstuffed.

The first game is better, but the second is still a game of great quality. The core mechanics are still sound, and a lot of fun. You still get to be Batman, even if the overall experience isn't quite as magical.

If I had to score Arkham City, I'd struggle to go any lower than an 8 given the volume and quality of content. Which is why I love not having to work towards such an archaic footnote!

I just started playing this a few days ago. Enjoying it a lot, although I don't feel the open world works quite as well as Arkham Asylum's small but hyper-detailed island environment. For instance, at one point I was looking for Mr. Freeze and I couldn't work out how to get into the building where he supposedly was (it was a running slide under the shutter, but I'd forgotten Batman could even do that move), and while I was killing time in my travels doing other things around the city I heard some thugs mention that Penguin had Freeze locked up in the museum. So I went over to the museum and wasted some time trying to get in, but the front door was sealed and there didn't get seem to be a way to sneak in. Anyway, I eventually went back to where Freeze was supposed to be and found out that he was, after all, being held in the museum, and so when I go back there again the front door is now accessible and I can continue. That just felt like it broke my immersion a little.

I think I'm right at the end of this - just back in the steel mill, Harley having stole the cure while I was battling Freeze. I know what happens at the very end but I'm kind of hoping it'll finish soon as I want to play something else. I have enjoyed it for the most part, but I don't think it's as good as Arkham Asylum, and that's almost completely due to the pacing and structure.

Quick bump to ask if Harley Quinn's Revenge is worth buying? Just finished re-playing the main game for the first time since release and eager for more...

I mulled over it but decided against it after skimming a review. You basically just fart about the same Steelmill area from what I remember but get more opinions before deciding.

Speaking of that area, still love one henchmen doing a Quinn impression in that area during the main game. So funny.
