Started and finished it in one session. Magic.

    Questions and spoilers:

So basically, you headed to the mountain to be reborn, right? That's what I'm taking away. And the building in the churchyard right at the beginning with the identical symbols but with smaller, individual symbols in the top-left corner of each one were marks for gravestones/the dead, right? I'm sure there's a lot I missed/didn't get (including almost all the trophies, so I'll play again in a week or so (conveniently, that gives me another trophy ;-).

Its a pretty engrossing experience, played it through in one sitting and loved it. I think i met with 8 journeyers on my playthrough and fighting through the blizzard together with a stranger was amazing, how the game can convey camaraderie without speech is fantastic

The level design is first class too especially the final two stages crushing to euphoric.

It might even have been more than 8, I know I met 10 travellers on my first go (the trophy said so) but the end credits stopped at 8.

Just played this for the first time this weekend. It really is very good, as others have said. I wasn't able to play it through in one sitting, but I'm planning on doing so when I can be sure I've got the uninterrupted time available to do so. Thatgamecompany's games got better with each release, in my opinion.

Yep, they've improved quite visibly between each game.

I was fortunate to play through in one sitting for Journey, and it was amazing. So unlike anything else - and that's in a good way. I was profoundly saddened when I lost a longtime companion through my own death.

Completed my 2nd and 3rd play through yesterday. Doing the whole thing on a single run is brilliant and the game loses none of it's magic on repeated plays.

Met some very helpful players who showed me where all of the glyphs etc were. 100%'d the game

    Awesome

I'm really interested to see what thatgamecompany come up with next!

There is! The opening section, which I decided to play in a currently SANS CASH state. Think this is one to grab and absorb with a bottle of wine...

It may seem expensive for a game that lasts 2 hours, but there's definitely replay value in it. It's about the price of a cinema ticket, if you want a comparison.

    Love thatgamecompany's games. They're the only reason I still have a PS3.

I only ever played this once (launch day). Hooked up with a player very early and we stuck together til the end.

Still sort of moves me - sounds twaddle, I know - but I don't remember a game having such an affect in such a way.

Don't want to spoil the experience through over play. Don't feel short changed either.

Not many games I can say that about.

Incredible game. 1st play through was pretty much solo with a couple of companions for 10 minutes or so. 2nd a few months later was a straight play through with the same dude from start to finish. Helped he seemed to know all the 'secrets' and I finished with a massive scarf. Might fire it up tonight!

I don't have a PS3, but after watching a few playthroughs of Journey on YouTube I'm now very seriously considering buying one. It looks wonderful and I'm sure the immersion is far greater when you're actually playing it (as opposed to watching somebody else playing it). :)

I absolutely loved journey but it is an acquired taste. Some hate it but if you're open minded and a little jaded with video games of late then I can assure you it is one of the most uniquely emotional gaming experiences to date.
Not worth buying a PS3 for on its own however. But of course there's plenty of other games you can play on it.

So, I finally got to play this, and for me it was absolutely worth the 60 I spent on a PS3 slim. One of my games of the generation, hell it'll probably be viewed as one of the best games of all time by those who play it and if it replays as well as I think it may.

I don't replay many games after completion and i never bother with trophies but this game made me want to play over and over until id got everything. Each experience was unique due to the interaction of others. Priceless gaming goodness for me.
