I think bornprosper was the cheapest but Soccertriads has a bigger selection, I think there was another one mentioned but I can't remember the name. Have a feeling it was in some way related to bornprosper though.

I'm a bit confused by the whole 'name' and 'numbering' thing on Born Prosper.

My friend's name is Matt - so naturally he wants 'Matti' on the back, with a number 11.

Would I write 'Matti 11' - and then select the Puma style of numbering / lettering, and then the 2010 World Cup patch?

I'm not 100% but yeah that's how it seems anyway, maybe PM one of the guys from earlier in the thread who ordered from there, just to be sure. I'd imagine they'll understand what you mean either way.

Hmm - I helped my friend out with an order of around three shirts last week. Now I've noticed that the Born Prosper website looks like this.

That's the first time the site's even loaded properly for me. Fairly tempted to send an order in now.

I didn't bother ordering, I think a M would be too small for me, and an XL far too large.

    So, it finally arrived yesterday.

Medium Spanish World Cup top by Adidas.

Looks like the real deal even down to the tags telling you about their climacool fabric tech or whatever it was so I think they really are identical to the real thing and made in the exact same place. I can't spot a difference.

As for the size, it lists the world sizes on the top of the shirt, UK - M, US- M, F -M, D - M, E - M etc.

Anyone hear about the fake football tops being impounded? Mine certainly hasn't arrived yet...

Was on SSN as well, showed customs sifting through a load of them. I'm in Ireland so hope this doesn't affect me when I finally get round to ordering one.

Still nothing here. I'll probably get the blame if my friend's shirts don't turn up, even though I did warn him that I've had nothing but bad experiences when ordering items from Thailand.

My Italy top showed up this morning from bornprosper. Very good quality. Looks like the real thing, came with Puma tags etc. I ordered a medium but I should have got a small. I'm quite a small (runner) build though (5'10, 11stone10lbs). I will say I can def get away with the medium and it looks fine. It's not overly baggy or anything.

So it took a fortnight for you then. When did you order caligari?

I've ordered an Italy top. Worth a punt at that price. I'll report back on the quality when it arrives.

    - from 28th May. So yeah, about a fortnight. I did have to hassle the guy at bp via e-mail because it showed my payment as not having cleared on their website. His e-mail address is supakorntonoi at gmail dot com.

I ordered on the 28th from bornprosper and nothing yet, but have not had problems with them before. Hope my shirt wasn't in the bunch of packages that got seized. Load of bollocks anyway, apparently it's fine to pay children to stitch together shirts as long as you're paying 40 for it so the big companies can pay off all the right people.

    31st of May.

Still nothing here. I did kind of warn them that ordering from Thailand would be more hassle than it's worth, but I'm sure I'll still get the blame if nothing turns up.

Is a Pay Pal dispute actually an option with an order that is outside of eBay?
  • Deleted user 16 June 2010 12:56:13
    Yup, should be.

Okay - thanks Cozeny. I'll give it until the end of the week.

Did you go for standard Airmail with yours?

I see their site is down - again.

  • Deleted user 16 June 2010 13:25:54
Yeah, just standard Airmail. I did have to pester them though (see above for deets.)

Ordered on the 6th, nothing yet from BornProsper, and their site is down now. Not very impressed.

Wonder if customs get in touch with the people being sent to if they impound them?

    Pfft - still nothing here.

I'll open a Pay Pal dispute to get the money back if I don't receive anything by Wednesday.

One of them was an England shirt - which could be a little useless after the Slovenia game. ;)

Same here cal, ordered 28th May. Just a Spain shirt to see if they were legit. Doesn't look like it's coming now.

Jah, it's a shame! I'm not the one that'll be out of pocket, but I feel bad for recommending the site, and helping with the order. :s

Perhaps we can all put in offers on Murray's Japan shirt?

If it's as big as he says, maybe we can all fit into it :)

I was one who thought my bornprosper shirt had got nabbed by customs, but it arrived today. About 3 weeks to arrive, which is the longest its taken from them. I didn't end up emailing them in the end.

The postage date on the front is 16/06, so probably he's had a bit of backlog.

Makes sense that there is a backlog just now I suppose.
