@Cosmopolitan Ridge Racer AI isn't really AI and you can exploit it by never boosting. Some cars will overtake you shortly after you've passed them and it's entirely unavoidable. Even if you're boosting up a long straight, they will go even faster to get past you. If you boost, you're only prolonging the inevitable. |
The best thing to do is to let them pass you and make another move on them to seal the deal. They wont give you any more hassle second time around. Not only that, the car in front will no longer keep a fixed distanced ahead of you, meaning you can then focus on catching up with and pass them.
It's an incredibly scripted racing game, Ridge Racer, and you'll find you're actually racing against a script, rather than actual AI.
To put it simply, lay off the boost as this will increase your overall race time, allowing you more time to complete these scripted events and get to the front of the field.
