It was only 22 on Amazon last year. I can't believe how lucky I was. It's 40 in CEX, second hand. What a joke.

I don't think I can ever sell this game.

May be a bit late to the party but was anyone else seriously amazed about how good this game is? I finished it last year, put over 100 hours in and still dip back into it now and then. I haven't put over 100 hours into a game since I had Phantasy Star Online on the DC. I can hardly think of any criticisms and the soundtrack is practically perfect (oh Valak Mountain).

Such a shame so many people will miss out on this - if this launched on the PS3/360 instead I have no doubts it would've been a massive hit and got the recognition it deserved. The apparent sequel on the Wii U will be the reason I buy the console eventually.

An absolute must - climbed above Grandia II and Skies of Arcadia as my favourite JRPG (and RPG in general) ever. Pretenders such as the 'Tales' series and others don't even compare.

18 pounds seems like a really good price. I've been looking for this for a while now and people want a lot for it.

Brilliant price. I have rebought and paid 30 for a pal sealed copy from a fellow EGer, and I was more than happy with that.
I sold my previous copy on play.com for 42.
    :-)
All the money talk aside, it is an excellent game. Does need a controller though.

I finally got around to playing and finishing this. Over 100 hours in to it. I plan on going back to do a new game plus at some point. Great game. Really looking forward to the game they'll be doing on the Wii U. Bayonetta 2 and it are my two big reasons to want to get a Wii U in the short - medium term.

I hadn't played the Wii in a long time. Didn't have the free time to start it up and have more than a handful of hours per week till recently. I also had The Last Story and Pandora's Tower to play but after starting The Last Story... not impressed with it. Am wondering if I should continue on or switch to Pandora's Tower.

I'd give Last Story a bit longer, it gets much better.
I didn't rate Pandora's Tower much at all..

I thought The Last Story was one of the very best games on the Wii!

... loved every moment of it although I would be the first to openly admit that the opening hour is quite a poor indication of the whole game however, you'll see why the story begun there by the time you finish it.

The visuals are stunning in places and the music is so lovely too.

I never really got on with Xenoblade and all this talk of 'a hundred hours' is something I just simply do not have anymore.

At the part inside the mechon base where you must turn on a switch guarded by about 10 mechon! Seriously difficult, I'm level 52 and have found it fairly easy so far, love the game so much nut this difficulty spike is dark souls - esque in frustration. Any tips? Reccommended levels or party members? I'm using Reyn and Sharla atm.

I can't remember the exact point where you're at but as long as you're not more than -2 levels under the enemies level most enemies should be beatable (with the odd boss exception). Your party seems fine - it may be worth swapping Reyn for Dunban but it's not essential.

Hmm, the enemies are between 58 and 60, so I have a bit of grinding to do according to your wisdom. I always manage to kill about 7 of them before we're overwhelmed.:/ THE HERO-PON SHALL PREVAIL. Thanks :)

No problem - I remember I had to grind a little around that area, especially against the giant walking mechs!

So, about to start this after finishing the wonderfull Skyward sword. One question though: Japanese or English voiceover?

English - one of the few occasions where they actually add some flair and personality. I usually go with Japanese voice-overs but I'm glad I didn't with this one. Solid all-round.

Reyn has so many quotables - "man, what a bunch of jokers!"

You're in for an absolute treat - you can probably tell by my gushing earlier in the thread but for my money it's the best JRPG ever created.

    Hope you enjoy it!

Yep. 215 hours here. Amazing game. I still play the awesome intro tune on occasion. It in itself is fantastic .

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

Any other opinions on Japanese Vs English? I always choose Japanese where possible too.

Definitely English for this one. It's very British, and really gives the game a lot of extra character. I wouldn't consider anything else for Xenoblade to be honest, it's one of the few games where it really adds to the experience. Unless you're Japanese, obviously.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

Well I'm not British either, but my English are much better than my Japanese, so I guess I'll go for the English voiceover then. Thanks guys!

Depends. Have you any opinion on the latest Doctor Who companion? And did you ever watch Mongrels?
