    hi everyone :)

    my partners ps3 isnt working properly, he can play a game then after about 30 mins it freezes and it wont work. this happens with all his games.

    we would be very greatful for any help that you might have

    Kelly - sounds broken. How long has he had it? You might be able to return it to the shop for replacement...?

    I wouldn't be surprised if someone posts in about 5 minutes offering a PS3 repair service :)

    thank u for the replies :) hes had it about 2 years. looks like gonna have to save up for a new one.

    You might be able to send it back to Sony for repair (phone their UK customer services) but I think it'd cost you about 120

    you may be able to front some shizzle to do with the sale of goods act and "not fit for purpose" and "six year lifetime" and all that jazz. If you still have the receipt etc. Don't really know too much about this but I'm sure other people here do.

    x201 i think so,we brought one of them fan things that u stick on the side. (sorry dont know name im not up on ps3 parts lol )

    Try it without the 'cooler'- a lot of the time they block the cooling vents.

    Also, might sound daft but trying hooving around the air vents, it might be clogged up a bit with dust!

    ty retroid, ive hoovered it and took the cooler off and its still same.
    thank you for your help :) think we just gonna have to get a new one.

    How old is it?
    1999/44/EC is your friend.

    Go to the point of sale and demand a replacement/repair.

    That's how I got my first and second PS3s replaced.
