Registered 4 years agoYeah, very good isn't it? I can't wait to see it. I'm pretty surprised there's not more love for it in this thread. You'd think it's be perfect geekgasm stufff, wait for the Daily Mail to jump on it, then the hype will go exponential.Goose fat is sponsored by:

Registered 11 years agoLooks good, but it takes a lot to get me excited about a film these days. I think the last one was Sin City, which was good but the film didn't live up to the awesomeness of the trailers!
Then again Avatar had the opposite effect, being that I didn't really give a shit about it and hadn't seen one of this gen of 3D films yet.
I'll probably go and see it and probably enjoy it... Is that not enough love for you people? -

Registered 4 years agoNo. I demand more love! It's a self-financed British indie film. We should be practically fucking this thing up the ass.Goose fat is sponsored by:

Registered 7 years agoYes, itīs a bit weird that there seems to be a lack of interest for this movie around this parts. I think Nic Cage is probably scaring people off. And the media will go crazy with a 12 year old girl killing lots of bad guys and saying things like "You just contact the Mayorīs office. He has a special signal that shines in the sky... itīs in the shape of a giant cock." . -

Here ya go. Though they're using it to have a go at Jane Goldman. Ross has quit the BBC, Mr Daily Mail, you can stop now.

Found it highly amusing that at Showcase they had lifesize cut outs of the kids from the film with a sign saying "have your pic with a superhero" or something along those lines, considering it was clearly aimed at kids, it was pretty - but inappropriately - funny. -

IGN review is up...they literally gush over the entire film, I'm awaiting the graphic novel being delivered but any fears I had about this seem to have vanished. Great review.

Registered 9 years agoI read it 2 weeks ago, and while I think it's great, I would watch the film first knowing how the story goes (unless they change up some stuff for the flick).
I just think it'll make the movie a lot more enjoyable, and then you an go into the book for the awesome writing. -

Registered 6 years agoOk I think I'll take your advice. I know the basic story so as long as the book is awesome like you say then I won't mind waiting.
Was scared in case the book was a bit pants; I read Wanted after seeing the film and whilst I really enjoyed the movie, I didn't enjoy the book much at all. -

Registered 4 years agoNah, the book's good as long as you like the art-style of John Romita Jnr you have a ride with it. I do agree with Derblington though, it'll probably be better once you've seen the film, although I think there are one, or two changes afoot in the film.Goose fat is sponsored by:

Registered 9 years agoI'm pumped. Had to search a bit for this thread, as I was expecting a 5+ pages thread.
No matter, just typical EG pessimism and negativity. I'm sure you'll all be gushing over it soon enough, when the movie is underrated (but as soon as it becomes popular, expect the typical backlash). -

Until I saw a billboard for it today I had no idea it even existed. And the billboard was shit. Although I guess it did make me click on this thread.

Seeing this tomorrow night on a free preview so will report back here however I would've thought this'd be much more optimistically expected than many of these posts seem to be.
