    The Beatles, probably. I'll have a bit of a think, there's probably more.

    I can think of far more bands who would fit a reverse thread to this one!

    In light of what I'm currently listening to: Journey, Kansas, Toto, Asia, Styx - all of that late 70s/early 80s AOR/MOR stuff that actually has some of the best songwriting and musicianship to ever hit a studio.

    Not really a band, but - Tom Jones.

    Maybe not god like, but The Smiths did deserve more of my time back in the day ;)
    I always had a good ear for music, liking The Jam and Madness from the off, even though I was only 7/8 years old.

    If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

    I remember going out with a manageress of some dodgy burger place when I was a youngster. She was a big Smiths fan and made us listen to them non-stop through a whole shift. I nearly put my head in the deep fat fryer.

    To go back on topic, it's not really a band but a genre - country music. Proper old timey stuff I was brought up on, hated as a kid, but quite like it now if I'm in the mood.

    Japan.

    I used to tease my younger sister mercilessly about the 'pretty boys', but having gone back 20-odd years later and had a proper listen, some of the songs are fantastic.

    I liked all the good stuff my whole life, tbh. And the stuff I thought was shit then, is still shit now, imo.

    Steps were awesome but when 'H' came out as being gay I was devastated, I mean he covered it up so well, it broke my heart and I just couldn't bring myself to listen to them anymore, luckily Scooch were there to fill the searing void in my soul that steps had left behind.

    I later found out that H had died from teh bad AIDS, R.I.P. mate, at least he was given a fitting burial... ;__;

    Another Japan fan here and I got it from my older sister. I used to get a lot of ribbing from mates for liking em but it didn't bother me. Most of their stuff is on my Ipod atm.

    Elvis. Didn't like him when I was a kid. Now think he's fantastic and he's always on my iPod.
