So GRAW is good then? I remember having been slightly frustrated by the controls when I dipped my toe in. I'd join a game or two if there's space (although I don't think I'll have time before the weekend).

I loved Summit Strike. If this is more of the same I'll be quite happy.

The controls are a bit odd, especially with the hindsight of what has come since. It doesn't take too long to adjust though.

It's just a much more careful game to play than most other stuff, and this makes it seem like you have to be a bit more thoughtful. Especially if we chip the difficulty up to hard.

I'm online for just an hour or two, if anyone wants to play this send me an invite, even if I'm on something else.

Looking at the at the amount of work I'll have to do on Saturday, I think a quiet evening playing videogames is very much on the cards for tonight. Anyone else in?

Been a bit busy - is there a preferred evening for late night play, given a choice of tonight or tomorrow night? I could feasibly put one of them aside for some GRAW2, if I cancel Burnout Friday and brush off some requests I've had to play some halosplops.

Probably later on for me, but there's always the random chance I'll get on a little earlier (9ish).

I may well be on after 10pm. Trying to get back into the control method. Spent my first few games swapping weapons instead of reloading and doing that crazy crouch/stand/prone dance a la Dara O'Briain's skit.....

Hehe. A few of us new players have planted explosives before holding down the left-stick to sprint away... only to discover that that makes your man there lie down, quite slowly, and that getting back up is also quite a slow process, all the while the explosives timer is ticking down.

I'll fire you a FR from my gamertag - Simplicitly - it isn't some random stranger. Well, y'know, not THAT random or strange.

Or, like me, you plant the explosives then run in a big circle back to the explosives just in time for detonation.

Think I got the co-op dlc too. Not sure what people are playing at the moment. Might be worth checking before shelling out on the maps. I did find a lot of empty gametypes online the other night.

You don't need the DLC to join in, although everything except co-op packs 1 + 2 are free anyway. Of course, you'll all want to pick those up too after experiencing the awesomeness that is Eurogamer GRAW.

Currently playing the on-disc co-op campaign. It'd be lovely if we could all do the DLC campaigns, as it's really a lot of fun - and another 12 missions!

I believe there is some free DLC. Nab that and we can play some custom co-op missions on them too!

@RedSparrows Unless it tells me that the game won't allow a player to blow up the chopper.

To all the new players: Yes, you can definitely blow up the chopper.

I'm strangely excited by the prospect of playing this tonight. I might even pick up some beers and nachos to complete the experience. Yeah, I'm that cool.

Well, that was a very pleasant pursuit - still the odd bit of friendly fire, but really good games, even when dying after a couple of minutes and spectating and, er 'advising' whichever poor unfortunate I got to watch.

The co-op games were a little oversubscribed, too - perhaps we could've done the DLC lobby dance and tried some Team games though... although the co-op vibe is eminently more relaxing.

In the end, Tom just deleted all his DLC and invited everyone to a vanilla game. It was a bit nuts really.

I think the other thing you might need is the Classic pack, but can't remember if this is the same as Throwback pack 1. It was all a bit odd.

Thoroughly enjoyed my reintroduction to GRAW2 last night chaps. Appreciated your patience during my dlc/no dlc woes. Started rustily and have to hold my hand up to one blue on blue incident but started getting back into it after a few games.

I remember lasting about 45mins of the 60min defend so would be up for that though not sure when - Wife's birthday today/Mother's Day tomorrow are not conducive to getting some gaming hours in!

Busy, so wasn't able to join the Saturday games sadly, but will be around for more this week if anybody is interested?

Did you have a go at the 60 minutes of madness?
