They might be a bit "special" sometimes, but I don't think it quite warrants that use of language.

Their webforms have been down all day (I tried submitting something about Ouya to them this morning). Even their bug reporting form wasn't working. It's not an uncommon occurrence.

O2 Network is down for a lot of their customers and the BBC stuffed.

At the armageddon has come and I can rule as Gang King of West Ealing.

I've not been able to get on a load of sites all evening. Facebook. BBC. Etc. etc.

They all work, eventually, but then go down again.

I'm with O2. Probably connected. (Fnar).

    BBC News website
    No, nothing showing up.

Do you have a more direct link? I'd think a terrorist alert in the centre of London by the old BBC centre would be big news that would at least warrant a single-sentence mention on the front page of the biggest news outlet in the country, espcially if it was causing disruption to countrywide media communication but no, nothing.

I did, in fact, actually speak to someone from BBC centre today over the phone precisely because their website technical issues had rendered it impossible to communicate with them.

Now, the receptionist that I spoke to didn't sound like the brightest lightbulb in the box but I am guessing that if she had sufficient hand-eye coordination to answer a telephone, she would have noticed if there was some sort of terrorist incident occurring in her immediate vicinity, regardless of how many sachets of peroxide may or may not have have managed to seep through her folicles and into her bloodstream. I am also not sure that five minutes of polite chit chat would have occurred had she been in immediate danger of her life or that she would have been as particularly surprised to learn that people were experiencing a degree of disruption while trying to contact the company.

Not that I'm being sceptical or anything.

Considering it's not spelt correctly, and that the BBC site is reportedly down for some and that's where he was sending you, I'd guess this may potentially be a wind up.

Hi! I think Kentmokey might be correct on this one.

And what were you phoning the BBC about?! I'm guessing you're still unemployed?!

News submission. And I'm not in full time employment, but I have enough to get by as income from month to month. Just about (no, not benefits if that's what you're thinking).

I wasn't thinking benefits, just thinking if someone's ringing up the Beeb as the forms on their site have been down for a few hours they must have plenty of time on their hands. Was it that Ouya story?
