I really don't care for The Fall. I feel about Mark E. Smith the same way many people feel about Morrissey (i.e. nice band, shame about the singer).

Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

I hate only fools and horses. Hate it. I have never met anybody else that shares this view. I just get incredulous looks and gasps of really?

    There. I said it.

It's total bollocks but stating that view in public can get you lynched.

Please don't use the delete button, think of the children.

I find the point scoring outrage that accompanies EG articles about anything vaguely 'sexist' fucking tedious. Contrast this with the equally snooze inducing Ellie worship that accompanies any of her articles and the front page is almost a no go zone these days.

But but... that bit where he falls over in the bar. It's one of the top rated most amazing moments in British comedy.

    Apparently.

    Mange tout, wobbly_Bob, mange tout.

Journey really are a dreadful band.

Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

    Now, Fleetwood Mac, I like.

But they are. His voice is so weak.

Unlike the great god Coverdale. /swoons

    You sound like Mrs Boo.
If David Coverdale walked in now, our wedding vows would be out the window faster then you can say 'knife'!

It's weird. He looks like a white leather panther with a blond throw rug on it*. He always did. And yet...

*sigh* He makes me feel 16 and sex-crazed again. Like David Essex makes me feel 9 and curiously excited. I'm not going to press charges against him though.

edit: Or maybe a lion in human form. He's a man-beast. We were less sophisticated then. It was acceptable to display raw cockrock power in the 80s.

I mean. The lyrics to "Slide It In" were absolute filth.

    Fixed for you.

"Would I lie to you... just to get in your pants?"

They don't write 'em like that any more!

I refer Mi'lud to the love ballad "Spit It Out", on "Slide It In".

    *ahem*
I never knew what a kiss could mean
Until the first time I kissed you,
You took my love in the palm of your hand
An' showed me what a woman could do
Now I don't want sugar coated loving
    Just silver tongue tenderness,
You gotta give me a certain satisfaction
The kind of love you seal with a kiss

An' spit it out, spit it out, spit it out
    If you don't like it
Spit it out, spit it out, spit it out
    If you don't like it

Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.
