    Good job the defender did score otherwise people might be asking why Borini didn't.

    That defender must really hate the goalkeeper. Cheeky OG followed by a body slam for good measure.

    @f_c

    Yeah, he was good at the weekend too despite the result.

    Very impressed with Hearts' pressing game, kept us well contained for the most part.

    I like the BBC text thing, except for the fucking idiotic tweets. I want to break faces just for relating such banal shit. Raage.

    Good game. Definitely rode our luck at times, Hearts played really well but decentish result to take back to Anfield. Hope the second leg is as entertaining.

    Sterling is looking like a good prospect too, impressed with his performance.

    Yep, Sterling does indeed look like an exciting prospect. And aside from hitting the post I thought Borini showed promise with his movement, I think he'll be a huge improvement on the likes of Voronin and Ngog.

    I only saw the last 30 mins but that looked like a good game.
    Pity Hearts didnt get that equaliser to make things more interesting for the 2nd leg...

    It's Liverpool so it still might be, it would be just like us to concede a pen and get another centreback sent off in the first five minutes.

    The last 30 minutes were probably the best to be honest, I didn't enjoy the first half.

    Head held high this morning as a Hearts fan (for a change). Thought Hearts gave a far better account of themselves than they did against Spurs last year. McGowan and Templeton definite standouts from the team. Really thought they deserved a draw out of it, but thems the breaks. Think the bigger pitch at Anfield will suit Liverpool far more as it will be more difficult to press them when there is much more room.

    If Hearts sneak an early goal next week it could be very interesting.
