I loved Mirror's Edge, Burnout Paradise and Dead Space last year.

This year it looks like I will love Fight Night 4.

Dead space was nice. Going to pick it up again when it drops sub 20 euro. Couldn't care less for the rest.

EA are far from there when it comes to originality but they are making some progress. Then again, I can't really think of any mainstream publishers that do particularly better. If the market buys the same old same old games, can you blame the publishers that they make them?

Looking at my games catalogue, most of the new/high standard games there either come from the console manufacturers themselves or from the really small devs that didn't use a publisher or had a tiny publisher.

A tip: you need to find a better subject to troll, and you need to research better. EA has improved a lot, and have quite a few worthwhile games.

Unlike the Neo Geo, which is an incredibly shit piece of over-priced rose-tinted nostalgia. Arcade in your home? Get a JAMMA cabinet. It's far cheaper and there are more games on it.

The main problem in the market is that when you make a new, original game it tends not to sell. Whether this is because it's not marketed properly is not really the point, if your a suit and lets face it the people in charge have probably no interest in making a good game they will only care about making money. So they see the sales figure more generic shooter 4 being in the millions and then see the sales figures for a new title being so much less which kind of game are you going to greenlight more?

The prob. with EUG users is that they are to damn lazy to press the LOG OUT like this neo-gey did. Than with the I.E passview you can get the password. So why not taking the account and start f**k around with fools like FluffyTucker and the rest like him?

A little necromancy to celebrate the departure of a great leader.

John Riccitiello is quitting as CEO.

Wonder why. Aside from, you know, turning it into the most hated company in the industry.

Hate has little if anything to do with it, at least not the 'hate' of gamers. It's all about the money, or more accurately, the share price.

It dived when the recession hit in 2008 (not John's fault) but it hasn't recovered since (which is). They haven't paid out a dividend in over 8 years now and the upcoming quarterly financials are going to show revenue below the bottom end of projections for the year.

Shareholders were likely to try and vote him out at the next AGM anyway so he jumped before he was pushed. At least this way he can leave on his own terms and name his own successor.

Just remember, for all this 'hate' that you see on these forums, on gaming websites, on reddit etc... one article in the Wall Street Journal or the BBC is far, far more influential on shareholder sentiment than what goes on here.
