It was on their website, as was a very cheap GBA SP

    Gamecube at £39.99

    No more cheap SPs though.

    Yeah it is.

Another linky. It's well hidden though. Almost as if they didn't want to sell them.

    Edit: Damn, too slow X2

    Damn you!

Some of those games are cheap, but factor in the £4 odd shipping and it isn't so cheap any more.

I'm gutted to have missed out on this.

Was just the excuse I needed to get a Cube.

    Grrrrrrr!

Even my girlfriend wouldn't have complained about me snapping up that bargain.

When you click on the item, check the stock at your local store - they do a reserve service that means you can pick them up if in stock

    Yeah, they don't.

But they do have one in stock in my home town. Am hoping my old dear will be tottering round town later, am going to see if she will pick it up for me.

Although she still holds the same opinion of video games as being evil as she did when Horace Goes Ski-ing used to make me late for school, so may have to tell her lies as to why I want it.

Well I'm 24 nearly and I lie to my other half about how I spend mine! For example, did you know that you can buy Disgaea on some obscure website (of course I forget which one it is)for only £12.99?*

I'm *really* tempted - I love Wind Waker but never played very far through it, and my girlfriend loves Maria Kart.

What other really good games are there for the Cube at the moment?

When Resident Evil 3 was released, I got it a week later in Cash Generator for £2.99. This is actually TRUE. But my BF at the time accused me of telling porkies and started a huge row about me spending too much money when we were supposed to be moving to Gran Canaria a few weeks later. The git.

Woohoo, just got one.. don't bother about buying off the website just use the Reserve In Store option instead. If they have a store near you check if it's in stock there and reserve then collect, simple.

Gah! I actually succumbed then, I really did. After years of justifying two consoles was enough, and I have enough games for both of them, on seeing this I decided to order a Cube and complete the console set.

Thanks for the advice guys, I went through the click and reserve section, credit card in hand, and ended up with a shiny new....well, nothing. There's not a branch of Index in Edinburgh! I can't believe it! Ah well, it saved me £40...

Warning: Viewtiful Joe is one of the best games I've ever played, and simply oozes style, but it is a BASTARD.

/Still hasn't got past that sodding helicopter

Strangely, though, I don't get annoyed by it.

A store finder would have been nice. No idea if there's an Index anywhere near me.

Was there one - I couldn't find it?

Yep boo, once you click on the 'click and reserve' box it brings up a screen for you to reserve the Cube. You do this by selecting a town from the list, and a store for the particular town (unless you live in Edinburgh)

    To Chris Gardener,
Depending on the genre of games you like I'd suggest anything from this list. Not in any or alphabetical order........

    The Wind Waker..
    Resident Evil...
    Resident Evil Zero..
    Super Monkey Ball 1/2...
    Viewtiful Joe....
    Mario Golf Toadstool Tour..
    Mario Kart Double Dash..
    Metriod Prime.....
    Pikimin....
    Beach Spikers......
Harvest Moon It's a Wonderful Life....
    F-Zero GX.......
    Wave Race Blue Storm......
Sega Soccer Slam/also out on the Xbox...
    StarFox Adventure....
    Star Wars Rouge Leader....
    1080 Avalanche......
    Ikaruga.....
    P.N.03.......
    Eternal Darkness.....
    Super Smash Bros Melee.......
    Pokémon Colosseum......
    FF Crystal Chronicles......

Many of these titles can now be picked up rather cheaply. enjoy.

Cor! Thank you kindly. Looking over the list the ones that really do it for me are Zelda, Mariokart: DD, Eternal Darkness, Ikaruga, and Crystal Chronicles. But I've got Ikaruga on my Dreamcast, I finished Eternal Darkness when I borrowed sam_spade's Cube, and I lack the GBAs that proper Crystal Chronicling requires. Argh. I think that's helped me make up my mind not to get one.

Which is probably a good thing for my bank balance. Thanks for the help!
