Not sure if reading this made you think of Lemmings, but here's Lemmings Touch - makes me think of sticking to my rosy memories...

    The lemmings, not the computers.
The highlight for me was clicking the extinction button that causes them all to explode at once. Such pretty fireworks.

What have you guys picked up from the Big in Japan sale and what were your thoughts on each game purchased? I'm considering Ys Seven but am open to any other PSP game reduced.

I picked up Naruto Shippuden: UN Impact and DOA5+. Enjoying both. DOA5+ dials the boobs down a lot but the fighting is a lot of fun. Also picked up Y's 7 but haven't played it yet. It reviewed very well. Might pick up BlazBlu before the sale ends.

Corpse Party! :p Although I thought the second one went over-the-top with the gore and suffering, it still continued the story and had its good points.

I quite like the Vita UI. Until we know how the PS4 is with a lot of things installed, I would definitely rather wait and see as Vita UI works well when you have the 100 installs (all on 2 screens including the first with the settings etc)

I doubt PS4 will be as easy to navigate - it looks more similar to 360 which I far prefer Vita to.

If you don't have much time (or have too many games to fill your time) and you've already got Ys Celceta preordered, aros, then I wouldn't get Ys 7 at the moment. You may never get round to playing it, and if you do, then it might well be on sale by then again.

That's one thing you can say about the Vita UI - it's easy to navigate using the touch screen. Still, I can see Sony maybe giving people the option of using the existing Vita one or a PS4 'lite' version.

Typical Kotaku - the second photo has been yellowed in an editor. Look at the white areas around the screen. Every colour on there looks washed out and yellow-y.

Of course,"Screen on new Vita is basically identical but colours are slightly less rich than OLED" which won't show in photos as we are not using OLED, meaning they would look genuinely completely identical, isn't really a story.

Thanks Santashi you've given me the reality slap I needed. :D

What about Disgaea 2? I have Disgaea 3 and am onto the post-game content. Is 2 worth getting as its own game or shall I just continue with D3's post-game when I need a Disgaea fix? I assume over the next year we will get D4.

I like the earlier games, but in this case I'd probably just suggest sticking with D3's post game. There is a lot of it. :)

Popped into GAME last night. There was a reasonable size Killzone display at the front of the shop and a box of the Batman game in the pre-order section.

    That was it.

No dedicated Vita section, not even preowned. Circled the store three times trying to find it (didn't take long, it's a small shop). No PSP either. Big DS/3DS section with lots of wasted space though...

Vita makes quite a lot more sense as a download only device, so I'm not surprised it's not getting a lot of retail space.

Did you look low down? There wasn't even a tiny shelf at floor level? :o

With UK sales having increased 100% I'm surprised shops are still taking away the Vita sections.

They should have already revealed the PS4/Vita bundle and made all additional PS4 stock after the initial batch only available as this bundle. That could have been 500,000 Vitas sold right there.

The BIJ sale games that are tempting me are Black Rock Shooter and Silent Hill: Book of Memories. I'd been hoping for a while that they'd go on sale...

Black Rock Shooter is kind of tempting in that it seems to be a different game than anything I have, although I will probably wait for a lower price. Remember to post your impressions if you get it Santashi :)

Well, if they could price it at the price of the X-bone or lower, it could have been presented like "would you rather have the awesome handheld in its own right Vita with remote play capabilities or the Kinect to get a power surge as it records you getting undressed every day?

And if you already own a Vita? :) (Or your PS4 accidentally picks a fight with a baboon and needs to be replaced but your Vita's still fine?) The world would be swamped with poor unloved Vitas.

As an optional bundle, it's a great idea, but not as the only version of the PS4 available.

Part of the allocation should have been the PS4/Vita bundle at least, since shops will only sell units packed with overpriced game bundles.

Im sure stores will created their own bundles with a slightly discounted vita but having it as a pack in would be crazy.

Unless the limited it to 1000 boxes, painted it gold and declared it the SUPER PIMP EDITION or whatever gets these idiots buying all of these LE's.

I'm not sure I see your beef here. Both PSV units, old and new, are being held side by side in the one picture. Doesn't matter what sort of lighting/editing impacts happen, it happens to both of them.
