Could you spare some more info on this? I'm not familiar with that name.

Played a bit if Men's Room Mayhem on the way home. It's ok - I quite like the various challenges - it makes it more interesting for me than a simple score-chaser.

Fights happen very easily. It's a good job it's not like that IRL!

    Rymskapsel then.

RTS style gameplay, essentially you're expanding your base out in order to reach four monoliths to research them. I'm presuming this will end the game, but so far I've only managed 2.

Gameplay building modules on the base to enable the development of more men, cultivate resources for further expansion or protect against attack from numerous waves of invaders. The modules or corridors take the shape of various Tetris blocks and naturally you're rotating them to get them to fit your design better.

Part of the strategy involves where you place the modules. You want your garden to be near the kitchen for quicker food production, and extractors placed to harvest from resource points. Along with a reactor these will be providing your basic building blocks that your construction guys will use for building corridors and modules. They'll have to collect from these points and walk them to where you're building and that can take time if it's over the opposite side of the map.

All your minions can be assigned to various roles; when under attack you want as many in defence as possible and you certainly don't want them to have to walk too far from researching that monolith when the siren sounds...

    It's great.

The disappointing impressions of R&C made me pick it up and I'm really glad I did. It's worth the 4 and one of my favourite PSMobile games along with Rock Boshers DX, Life of Pixel, Gun Commando, Switch Galaxy and Surge.

If you are only going to buy three PSMobile games I would recommend Rymdkapsel, Gun Commando and Switch Galaxy as the true must buy games. Gun Commando is my favourite Vita FPS.

Why would disappointing impressions make you buy something?

Life of Pixel. meh. I want to love it but it's a bit tedious imo.

My recs would be Super Crate Box, Aqua Kitty and Surge.

You will regain access to all your PS+ games.

It _is_ a disaster, though, isn't it? :-)

Getting 20 pound psn credit gonna buy corpse party and puzzle quest which leaves about a fiver I think. Any recommendations? Love rpgs and anything horror. Nice one.

What's the difference between the Vita version of Alien Breed and the Playstation Mobile one that's half the price? Sorry if that's a stupid question, my recently bought Vita is my first Playstation Mobile-certified device and the two versions appear identical from the screenshots.

Mobile version is IAP supported I believe. Regular version has new style graphics and retro options but no IAP.

Take it you're getting the first Corpse Party game (Blood Covered)? I noticed yesterday that Book of Shadows still isn't listed in the alphabetical PSP section on the store, which must be hurting Xseed's sales at least a little.

    PSN ID: finn1

    @PeacockDreams
I've played the iOS port, which I gather is the same (though the controls suffered on that format, hence my interest in getting it for the Vita). It has the old-school Amiga version and a new version, which is a pretty standard twin-stick shooter but has that Alien Breed feel to it (more so than the separate three-part XBLA/PSN game).

Basically, it's good if you were fond of the original, it hasn't aged that badly and it's a nice slice of nostalgia. I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone who didn't know the original, but if you enjoyed it first time round you'll probably enjoy it again. I'm just not sure whether to buy it now or hang on for a PS+ discount or giveaway.
