I call the first rule of the internet:
"Anything that is too good to be true is too good to be true"

Still, that Mondrian meets american depression era small town portrait photographer that got lost and then rediscovered through a bunch of negatives at a car booth sale, is lovely. Much better than that Rhein photo if yo ask me.

    Then there is this:

I like the way they decided to focus on the roof in the midground when the balloon or the roof in the foreground would have both been better choices - edgy.

    Portable view - Never forget.

I haven't posted any photos in a while, so here's one I took today Steps.

Someone said a couple of years ago that I should get a neutral density filter, now I'm wishing I'd followed that advice.

    Portable view - Never forget.

It seems I'd have more luck selling Jimmy Savile memorabilia than my Nikon 50mm :(

I like that he has "extreme" tattooed on his forehead.

    Just incase you were unsure.

Is his left eye tattooed as well?

Yes, that's how I met him. My other half performs eyeball tattoos and this was taken shortly after the proceedure was finished.

This is a long shot but is anyone selling a Sigma 30mm 1.4 for a Canon?

Just bought another 40D body as just not feeling it with the Sony 5N - It's great for top quality snaps mind.

I've just bought an NEX-6. But I'm keeping my Canon lenses to use on it.

Got a basic adapter on the way - so will have to set the aperture first on a Canon DSLR or just use the lenses wide open. Given my Sigma 30mm and Tamron 70-200mm are great wide open it shouldn't be much of a hassle.

Peaking focus though, can't believe other companies have been so slow to catch up on this, its brilliant.

Yes peaking and MF focus zoom make using my Canon lenses in MF mode actually easier than on my Canon DSLR. Canon has some catching up to do. The NEX-6 is head and shoulders above anything Canon has (even in DSLR) in the same price range. That sensor is really something - really impressive dynamic range.

I can't imagine I'll really be using the 70-200mm on there too much. But I tried my Sigma 30mm f1.4 and my nifty fifty and they were both great.

Just waiting for a Minolta MD adapter to arrive from Ebay, as I bought a Minolta Rokkor-X 50mm f1.7 last week for 30. Looking forward to trying that on the NEX.
