Nope, but I know they had some HD exclusive with VM for some reason. Probably because VM have little else exclusive

Maybe so. On this occasion it's slightly annoying.

Okay, it's not great (and it's been on for an hour) but Rambo 2 is on ITV. It's no Rambo 1, but it's certainly no Rambo 3 either. Worth a watch.

    The Island, ITV now.

Give yourself ½ gig or a £, you're worth it.

One for Anime fans, Tekkonkinkreet is on Film 4 tonight at 11:10. I'm not sure I'd call it 'great' but there isn't a thread for 'weird, interesting but kinda decent' films.

Please don't use the delete button, think of the children.

    A Prophet. C4 in about 10 mins.

This post is unsuitable for those with a high rumour-sensitivity.

The Crazies on Film 4 10.55pm
The sheriff of a quiet little town investigates a series of unexpected murders, trying to work out what could have driven seemingly normal, well-adjusted people to kill. He discovers that a toxic chemical has turned many of the townsfolk into bloodthirsty maniacs, leaving those unaffected battling for survival. Horror remake, with Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell.
    Decent popcorn watch.

I've seen it, it's pretty decent as these films go.

    I liked The Crazies too.

It's not a film, but the Clive Anderson thing with Peter Cook on Channel 4 at 12.10 is pretty funny.

Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

If you could mix them both it'd be great!

I'm not a massive fan of that film, but if it's on I have to watch it. The De-niro ass fuck isn't bad either. All 6 seconds of it. "Wanna fuck"

    sure disco girl.

Dead Ringers is on BBC2 at 00:50.

Probably one of the only Cronenberg films I haven't seen. Twin Bro gynecologists played by Jeremy Irons have a wacky adventure and their friendship is tested too the max when they enter a womb judging contest.

    Probabaly

Ooh, didn't know it was a Cronenberg (who I like). I'd heard it was good though.

Great British cinema on tv tonight: This is England on Film4 at 9pm, Submarine on C4 at 11.15. Gritty vs wistful.

Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

Not sure I've ever seen Sandler in a straight role, not sure I could manage to take him seriously.

Bump for Submarine at 11:15, C4 Very English coming-of-age film, funny, stylish, directorial debut of Richard Ayoade (IT Crowd)

    Edit: paralympics show running late

Capricorn 1 is about to start on Channel 5, one for the conspiracy lovers, plus OJ as an astronaut!?

Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.
