My review wot I wrote innit of Lasercat for anyone considering it.

It's a very enjoyable game, and you get to support the efforts of an EGer while buying it.

I bought Lasercat a few years back on XBL Indie Games. Great little thing. Not without its flaws (is anything?), but fantastic.

4.49 for Red Alert 3 on Steam... frankly, you're better off buying the C&C Collection from Amazon or somewhere to get 17 Origin keys for US$10, but for some reason I'm tempted by this today. All of those trading cards dropping pennies into my Steam account takes the edge off Steam's comparatively high prices nowadays. It's nice they've finally implemented a system like that to compete with Gamersgate.

Not that I've seen, but I was impressed by the look of the recently released rugby game. Might pick that up cheap one day.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

@Adamical The STALKER games are on sale on Steam today at 75% off. You can skip Clear Sky, obviously (not a bad game, but the other two are just so much better and they're all so similar that it's largely redundant), leaving 2.49 Shadow of Chernobyl and 3.24 Call of Pripyat.

Incidentally, those games are strongly recommended for anyone here who's new to PC gaming, too. Fantastic-looking games with some wonderful randomness in their worlds. The first one (Shadow of Chernobyl) is still a steal at 2.49. Buy buy buy!

Edit: there are some tiny mods that give a big boost to STALKER's performance while also making the game look slightly better, and there are also giant mods that I have yet to try but might be what I'm doing later this week... STALKER Complete looks nice nice!

@PenguinJim Is that Shadow of Chernobyl UK price right? I bought it for 1.74 here in Europe, which is about 1.50 I think. Couldn't say no at that price.

It's $5 in the US, so the Europeans seem to have won one for once! Grats! :D

    @PenguinJim Thanks, man.

I actually had it on my wishlist so I had an email yesterday from Steam telling me it was on sale.

I was all ready to pay the full 12.99, but I'm glad I held out. I only wanted Call of Pripyat because I've got the other two, so 3.24 is a fucking bargain.

Just saw the new Humble Bundle - pay what you want (at least $1) for:

    Saints Row 2
    Saints Row The Third
    Risen 2
    Sacred 2

Pay at least $5 (about 3.50) and also get:

    Dead Island GOTY
Saints Row The Third full DLC package

Pay at least $25 (about 16.50) and also get:

    Dead Island Riptide

I've never used Humble Bundle before, but I think I might start now.

I was just about to post that bundle deal. I already had a few of the games but $5 to round off the SR3 DLC and finally get Dead Island was worth a punt.

That Humble Bundle is incredibly good value. So much so that I'm considering it despite owning SR2 and 3 on the PS3 :/

Have SR2, SR3 Full Package and Dead Island GOTY on PS3, I beat the average.
    Not bothered with Riptide though.

    Great value.

Me too! This is bloody typical. Might still get it just for SR2 and Sacred 2 though....
If I pay the amount to get the SR3 Full Package, even though I have SR3 on Steam already, will I be able to get all the DLC separately or will it just say 'You already own this game'?

Dont't get it for SR2, the PC version is an awful port, notoriously bad. It isn't in the same league as the PC version of SR3.

Edit: Although it is possible given a powerful enough modern PC it could brute force past some of the performance issues. I don't know for sure though.

Answer - No. So I just bought Sacred 2 and SR2 for 3.21.
I would have given away all the keys for the games I already own, but it won't let me do that either. Glad I put the full amount to go to charity. Oh well..
I did have the DI:GOTY on GMG Capsule, but now I own it on Steam as well.

DLC was added to my install, just doesnt show as goty or full package, right click on the game in your library and click view downloadable content (dlc tab in properties) and it will all show in there.

Same for dead island, upgraded to goty for me.

Saints Row 2 works well enough on modern-day PCs. However, pad support sucks. Found it a better game than SR3, when all is said. Even found it to have quite a bit of heart, under its thuggish exteriors. Much more so than the sequel.
