Ive only the PC about a month and I've about 60 games yet all I'm playing is Skyrim, which I half completed on the XboxTrials Evolution

Registered 8 years agoAlmost everyone is afflicted with the same disease on steam, it's pretty bad for the first year or two but you quickly get to a point where you have everything you REALLY want on steam then the disease goes into remission.
Well until the steam sales come along at the 75-90 discount prices then suddenly a hell of a lot of games become attractive to you. Give it time and you will develop the will power not to buy, I find if you just keep your backlog in mind when browsing those lovely deals it makes you pause for thought and your brain can overcome the impulse to buy unless it's something you have been waiting for...until another Steam sale comes along and you just lose your mind. 7 days to go peeps..... -

£0.00 GBP
oh, and it says "Steam member since: 1970-01-01"
That's before I was born! My only theory is that I turn a delorean into a time-machine at some point in my future. Its the only logical conclusion really!

Registered 4 years agoWhen it does look like it is working doesnt mean it is. States i have 254 games (£2612)but steam itself is reporting 280 games. Naturally the price is pointless as alot games are bought in bundles and/or sales.
I think it uses cache data from something like google and not directly tapping into your profile. Either way is wrong.

Registered 8 months ago@Sharzam The calculator probably doesn't count the DLC as games, but still adds the price to your total. On your list of games the DLC is listed. So it seems like you have more games than you think.

Another few game purchases and mine will pass the $7k mark on Steam Calculator. Depressing. Doubly-so considering I'd probably sell the entire thing for a tenth of that given half a chance.GHOSTBUSTERS

Thankfully, the calculator doesn't work for me either. Only had the computer for a few months and I know it's several hundred pounds so far. I've already countered the disease though and I'm just playing through things before buying more. Out of the 30 or so I've bought, I've only played about 3 of them -

Registered 5 years agoIn fairness, virtually everything in my account was bought either on sale or through indie bundles, gifts, trading, etc. There's no way I've spent anywhere close to 7k on there, probably not even a third of that, and I've had the account for over eight years, starting with HL2 on launch.
It's still more games than I'd ever play in my lifetime though.GHOSTBUSTERS
