Been playing MGS2 on the vita lately, the Tanker bit felt short but it helped me get used to the controls, on the Plant one now, just freezing up the C4 right now, Rose is annoying. I'm just trying to save Rose, I don't care what day it is tomorrow! I'm on my first serious mission which I could DIE on. I just wanted to save and I skipped what I would guess is a 3 minute conversation about how they first met. Nitpicking I know, but SHUT. UP. ROSE.
Everyone else seems cool so far other than that.
Also been playing RE: Revelations on my 3DS XL for a bit, I guess I was supposed to have the shotgun by one part but I'd forgotten about it so that bit was hard for me, stupid one hit kill-which was only grabbing my leg, squeezing it for a brief second then tossing me on the floor.
Also, does anyone else get major frame drops on loading new large areas? It happens to me every time I go through the 2 double doors and the elevator.

It's not as bad as everyone is making out.
Sure it's not perfect by any stretch but it has some fun elements!

Yeah, that's normal. The door's and elevators are intended to break up gameplay to allow things to load. The frame rate does drop dramatically for 3-4 seconds, but you're really not doing anything during this time, so they could have put in loading screens instead.

Good. I'm a massive Holmes and ACD fan so it is fun to "be" Holmes. I also enjoyed the Ripper game although it glitched on me, so I had to watch the ending on that one.

Solid point and click, graphics ok, voices ok, although not a fan of watson's delivery, some good puzzles so far.

Final fantasy on my phone. Amazed it spawned so many sequels. Similarly surprised to discover it was so heavily influenced by DnD. A disappointment.

@DUFFMAN5 Thanks! I am a fan of both point and click and Holmes so I was hoping it would be a good game. Glad to hear this one seems glitch-free and has decent puzzles. Might see if I can pick it up around Christmas at a decent price as point and clicks are one of the only types of game I can get the family interested in. :p

Finally getting around to finishing Skyrim with my slightly gimped magic-heavy mage. Master Destruction spells are helping a bit though.

    Civ 5. A lot

Is there a way to get the games to feel more epic without having to have it on epic and wait 300 moves for a worker to build? I wish the time it takes to build things was still quite quick but you stayed in each era for a lot longer, I'm sure that's how it used to be when I was a kid (civ 1&2)

    Resident Evil 6

The 5 minute prologue had 1000qte events in it.

The start of Leons campaign was nice and atmospheric, then the zombies appeared. God, the combat(melee especially) is shit.

I'm mainly playing 'bitty' games at the moment. Things I can play for 30 - 40 minutes and feel like I've made some decent progress with.

Tokyo Jungle (PS3)- Playing the hell out of it. I do feel that the item and artefact drops could come a little more frequently though.

FTL (PC)- A nice little time burner. Made it to the mother ship for the first time last night. Got mauled!

PES 13 (PC)- I'm terrible and as a result I'm playing on regular (which is giving me a decent challenge) but I'm really enjoying it. The presentation is god awful but it plays a damn good game of football.

    Cave Story 3D

I thought i'd play through it a second time, considering there are 3 different endings on offer. That and its a brilliant little game. The 3D effect is really strong in this one though. More so on the XL's screen. Not sure I can handle it with the slider all the way up. This are popping out of the screen all over the place.

Thought I'd give QTE: The Game (aka Heavy Rain) another go. Still a load of laughable pretentious wank. I much prefer The Taxidermist Chronicle that came with the limited edition. Short but very sweet and above all, very creepy!

Just started Silent Hill on PSOne. I know most PSOne games have aged poorly but fuck me this game is old! Still really creepy though.

To add to this, I now remember why they used to give you a "notes" section at the back of every manual. I'm currently taking photos of all the obscure riddles. :)

I'm almost done Pokémon SoulSilver, just one last battle is all I need to do to put this to rest, but right now I'm training up for the final battle and catching all the legendary Pokémon I can, so far, Suicune, Lugia, Entei, Articuno, and Zapdos.

A decent if repetitive shooter.Playing it solo as I doubt there is any point in even trying for a online game.

I'm trying to spend some time with retro games, because otherwise what's the point of keeping the old consoles and piles of games.

At the moment I'm playing Shinobido on PS2 and Doom 3 on xbox.
