Mine hasn't started yet either, touch birch
I'm still ok for now. It normally hits around election time, so the middle of may.
I misread that initially as "erection time".

My hayfever has been mental the last couple of weeks and none of the drugs seem to work for a long period.
One of the home remedies is to, er, sort yourself out (or find a willing helper to give you a hand), as it apparently opens your nasal passages and lets you breathe for a while.
Same for cold congestion too!

lol that would go down well!
"just need you to sort out my hayfever before i go to work"
These work really well for me.
Consume 1 a day and I find that after 20 mins, I stop having a runny nose. At this point, I guess my body just focuses on getting right and after about 2-3 days, I'm completely out of the woods.
They're expensive but worth it imo.
Supermarkets / etc do much cheaper versions, same active ingredient.
Tablets help me a little, totally ordering a nasal irrigation kit
A friend swears that eating honey helps too but the tablet works for me.
I don't really get ill anymore but some hayfever here and there.
Hope you and everyone start feeling better monkehhh.
Aye, it's a bitch. I didn't used to get it at all, now I need to be on top of it or I look and feel like I'm dying. Mine hasn't really started this year, sure it's on the way though!
Picked up one of these -
- one more avenue of attack.
Fuck you grass
I've did over a full box of tissues today, utter murder.
Seeing an allergy specialist tomorrow...

I'd just like to say I don't get hayfever.
My sinus kit has arrived, gonna rinse this bitch!
This is the first year in my life I've been stricken with hayfever. Yesterday I discovered that taking 24 hour allergy relief tablets in the morning followed by three reasonably strong beers over lunch results in basically massive sedation.
Welcome to the misery club gremmi!
Turn your pillows over (or stash them in a cupboard) before going to bed. Pollen settles at night, so you end up with a pollen-coated bed and pillows that cause big-time nasal congestion when you want to sleep. Alcohol works because it inhibits the immune system, but not really a practical solution in the long-term (unless you drink a reasonable amount normally anyway).
My hayfever has been horrendous for the last week, much earlier than normal in the year. Don't normally get it until July/August. Regular over the counter stuff does nothing for me, so I need to get my annual steroid prescription sorted out.

How on earth do you know when it is coming on for a non sufferer? I have been ever so slightly blocked, the slightest ever, plus sometimes don't feel like I can get a nice lug of breath in. Is that the onset or just my body being weird at me?
It normally comes on at around the same time each year. A bit of a blocked nose for a long period though is normally the first sign to start taking something in advance, at least for me.
But very often sometimes it can just come on overnight.
The nose spray/anti-hystamine/inhaler combo I started on 2 weeks ago is working great \o/
Blood tests have confirmed that Beech is the fucker which has been going apeshit recently.

I'm so glad that I got my cat, 3 years ago, only the occasional and very minor bout since then.
Reports on the BBC today that this year is going to be extremely bad for hayfever sufferers.

I've always felt slightly superior than (some) others as I've never had pollen problems, although I'm led to believe that it can come and strike you later in life. Is this true?
Yeah it is. Never had hay fever until I was in my late 20s.

Cetirizine, every day, and when it's bad some beconase. After a while on Cetirizine you won't need the beconase at all. I have year round rhinitis and it does the job. £2 for 30 tablets means it costs £24 a year, which isn't that bad really.
It's worth getting an allergy test so you can be prepared for the onslaught.
Mine revealed that my body produces 50 times the threshold allergic reaction amount for Birch but not to other pollen.
