    Something a bit different...

    The Unfinished Swan

The Unfinished Swan is a first-person painting game set in an entirely white world. Players can splatter paint to help them find their way through an unusual garden.

Watch the vid, looks like it could have a lot of potential if it's ever released.

Has a nice creepy vibe about it.

    Just like de Blob!

    ;)

I really love the look of this, although have doubts that'll it'll be a fun game.

Yeah looks different but wonder how it'll play. If adding paint not only revealed but changed the environment - i.e. if you can't see it, you can bypass it - it could lead to something interesting.

Is it true that the queen eats swan?

    Someone told me that.

Why do you think she's got that crown? It isn't cosmetic.

I'd just scale up the standard attack and kick them in the f&%king neck twice :)

    Wierd, yet cool :)

Would make a good internet flash game like those Viridian/Crimson Room games. Though it might also work as a PSN or Wiiware game.

Can't really do that though, it just won't work without incredibly complex level design. What's to stop you turning 25 degrees left and walking straight to the exit?

What if you can't see the exit because it's around a corner and what if the corner isn't visible until you paint it? What if the exit isn't visible until you paint it? Or perhaps the door doesn't open until you've activated something else in the level?

Agree that it wouldn't be easy to design though.

Wow. What an old thread. There is a new preview up on EuroGamer, trailer and interview on GameTrailers.

Looks and sounds very interesting. After the rush of Journey, I am definitely up for more emotional games of adventure.

So, it's Labyrinth, in first person, in monochrome (except for the gold highlights), with paint splattering?

Yeah, I could go for that!

(Oh, come on, I cannot be the only one who immediately thought Labyrinth after seeing the big maze surrounding the castle town!)

So... Anyone play this at the expo? I watched someone play it for a short time. It looked cool.

I only got to watch it, nobody seemed to want to stop playing - so presumably good!?

    Did look pretty cool.

Every time I saw it people were playing on it with others waiting to have a go. Would like to buy the game :)
