I think she meant that the three shows she named, BB, Boardwalk and GoT are all three on another level compared to other shows. Not that the other two were on another level compared to BB.

    Yes, what salaman said.
  • Deleted user 27 March 2013 18:14:10
You know half of series 5 is out, right?
  • Deleted user 27 March 2013 18:16:09
I didn't until just earlier when I discovered there was a season 5. Sucks, I was loving the build up in 4 expecting it to all climax, now I know it just continues.
  • Deleted user 27 March 2013 18:19:01
    You ain't seen nuthin' yet.
  • Deleted user 27 March 2013 18:42:36
Season 5 is the confirmed ending, though.

Great Barrier Rief man - get the hell out of this thread until you've consumed the entire lot. It is absolutely one of the best TV shows of all time and you really really really don't want to be seeing spoilers.

Of which in here there are tonnes!
Well in two months I've watched series 1-4, just finished four, excellent last few episodes.

    Should have ended here though.

4 was tremendous, but to leave it there? Sure, if you like abrupt endings that leave a multitude of loose ends. Time will tell with the conclusion this year, but BB seems to be one of a precious few shows that actually have an arc, rather than the churn-it-out-filler-till-everyone's-sick-of-it attitude that pervades the majority of tv.

I agree with Pepsipop in theory, all tv series eventually go bad, and it's nice when they bow out (like The Wire and Battlestar) or are forced out (like Firefly and Deadwood) in their prime.

And before I saw season 5 of Breaking Bad, I would have bet that the long-running TV series turning to shit (like Scrubs) curse would claim BB too, but it's actually still getting better. :-/

The last 8 episodes are fucking guaranteed man.

Fuck that, I want it to go on for TEN seasons. :)

I hope they end up doing that Saul Goodman spinoff.

That makes is a separate season really. I've turned grey and had grandchildren waiting for this season to restart.

Anyone that says Breaking Bad should have stopped at the end of Season 4 before they've actually watched what's been aired from Season 5 needs to go away, watch it, then come back with their tail between their legs.

Season 5 really is superb. It's a tad iffy with it's pacing at the moment, particularly when you look back at how perfect the first few seasons were, but i guess that's a testament to how really, really high they set the bar.

IMO it's the best episode writing in the TV right now. Yes that means better than Game of Thrones.

I mean just look at the Train episode! What's he doing with that machine gun? Why is he on the road? Who is he running from?

Heard about that idea before and read today that it might actually happen now. A comedy spin-off doesn't sound that brilliant but Saul was great comic relief and that could lead to a great dark comedy.

Simpsons BB couch gag - Simpsons spoiler, I guess. I stopped watching it ages ago.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

@bad09 IF the relevant writers follow suit. I'm OK with one story ending and another beginning. Wish more shows would do it. Shows want to, networks don't allow.

I know moaning about me moaning about spoilers is almost at the point of becoming self-parody, but isn't them talking about this potentially quite a bad one?

Saul is like a cockroach. He's the only one who was always going to survive, no matter what. Shirley we all know that, deep down?

For all we know the Saul show could be a prequel. It blatantly won't be, so yeah, it's a spoiler, but meh. I doubt he would have ever died heroically or even by accident.
