    Hello Pasta Hut!

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/3145545/Pizza-Hut-to-become-Pasta-Hut.html
The chain, which launched its first restaurant in Britain in 1973, is replacing its pizza-focused menu with a menu consisting mainly of pasta dishes.

This means that as well as the traditional deluxe pizzas, customers will also have the option of ordering more sophisticated dishes such as tomato and mozzarella mezzaluna and prawn and crayfish arrabiata.

The re-branding is part of an £18 million revamp package designed to attract new customers and move it into more upmarket terrain.

As part of the revamp, the chain is temporarily naming 30 of its branches Pasta Hut.

Pizza Hut boss Alasdair Murdoch said: "We've really been on a journey for four or five years, trying to make our food better, offer more variety and quality for the customers.

All the pizza huts near me have gone out of business, the last one was closed down by enviromental health.

Anyone for a mozarella and mouse droppings stuffed crust?

I presume this is because they're being slaughtered by Domino's.

Fucking hell, how many more pasta restaurants do we need?

Losing Pizza Hut is a good thing - the food they serve is disgusting shit.

I went into one recently and walked straight out again. They donít seem to have updated in any way since the 80s. The carpet was rank.

I can't even remember the last time I was at pizza hut.

I think it was when I was a child and it was all you could eat pizza or something.

Yeah, Um not to cast dispersions... but I cant really see the average pizza hut visitor asking for a prawn and crayfish arrabiata.

Hmmmm shall I have the meatlovers and chips or the crab bisque with green bean foam....

The buffet deals are great, £4 something for all you can eat pizza made from yesterdays left over dough. Pizza Hut dough at that.

This means that here there will now be, all within walking distance of each other, Pizza Express, Zizzi's, Francesco's, L'Artista, Pizza/Pasta Hut and Ask all offering up the same bland Pizza/Pasta menus.

Woo and indeed Hoo. That should bring business flooding back to Pizza Hut.

TBH I think Pizza Hut has got a lot better recently. I actually prefer it to Dominos now.

Obviously if I want a proper, authentic, quality pizza I won't go there but it's still nice.

I love pasta, but I'm not going to go to Pizza hut for it. Tesco pasta ftw!

Don't forget the delicious array of toppings fished out of the bin and picked up off the floor.

I think Pizza Hut pizza's taste nicer than Domino's... but having said that, both are terrible compared to a nice home cooked pizza which is surprisingly easy to make.

I haven't been since I was a student, when their eat a much as you like thing was like a banquet from heaven.

I can now afford real food.

Incidentally, I had a pasta dish the other day with gorgonzola in it it. I couldn't finish it because it smelled of thrush.

I can't actually recall having a decent pasta dish at any of those restaurants. £8 for a bowl of pasta and a bit of sauce is a rip off and you can pretty much guarantee that it won't taste as good as cooking it yourself.

    Yeah, it's a bit retarded.

"Extremely cheap and easy to make food, mass-produced in a microwave and sent to your door for eight times the price!"

I never order pasta while im out as my mind refuses to believe im getting value for money.

I have pasta as the quick and easy 'fuck theres nothing left in the cupboard' option at home, so i will be buggered if im going to pay a tenner for some penne and a dollop of arriabata.

That noise you heard was me physically transforming into my Dad.
